I think this is along the lines they are thinking marketsmart but needed a date and location

so.... they hire you as a key figure for important stuff like locations? why do they hire you for that, what is their motivation? how can you possibly know that? no offense. But i think its really weird for big companies who want to start shows hire an ex webcam chick who walks around in promotional t shirts.... its all so hard to believe.

OK, so if this is the case. And I find it somewhat hard to believe that this much sponsorship money is already in place ($500,000) for a tentative event of this nature. Who decides who goes?

Claire I dont mean to be rude. I know you have been through a lot on gfy lately and this is not what I am referring to. I never met you and despite all the shit you still seem like a nice girl to me. You dont have any experience at all though and I doubt you can play a serious role. I would like to say though that if these people come to you and to gfy for advice I am giving up on them allready.
It might be better for them to just call some experienced people and maybe even work together with another show like Atlanta and Phoenix are doing now.

Also Claire I dont think you get the hints Roald is giving. You might want to look up what Roald and Maurice tried to do in Iceland. You might learn a lot from it.

If the cost is low(sponsor covered for most part) what location would you like to see a premier euro show take place and what date

I would say it would be very likely we would go to a show in Prague, been there a couple of times and the city is awesome.
I dont think it would be too difficult neither to atract a base of 100-150 people comming there, a lot of small "gatherings" is already going on with 30-40 people.
Not to mention the strip club business is very competitive there, if you are a group of 5-6 people you should call the club (a couple of clubs is offering it) and they pick you up in a stretch limo free of charge :winkwink:

OMG, you can buy 400k worth of traffic and hire a traffic manager for the 100k and make a killing if you know what youre doing. fuck if i would waste that kind of money on a party.

If there are 250-300 suites available for the show, then you can expect 500 people. Most people would double up if a large base of their costs are covered.

this is not the point. the point is 30 people telling you it's a bad idea, including some who tried it before, and you telling them that you know better. how can you know better than people who are in this industry for YEARS and run multi million dollar companies (see Ben, Mickey, Roald)?? if you would have said "ok, we take this into consideration" everyone would have said "yes, please do that". but no, promo claire knows better. and then you wonder that people call you names.

I think he was just as me trying to point out that you are inexperienced and the banana thing was just an aid to make you see that. Experience needs time and you are still in "the getting to know the industry" fase.
That is not a bad thing. Being there and acting like you are experienced and know it all is a bad thing though and irritates some people. We have all been young. We have all been there. We are all human and hopefully improve on things in time.
Being hard and clear is not always because you want to insult somebody. Sometimes you just want them to open your eyes.
In this case you might read back your initial post. It sounded like you and you alone were asked by a big company. Further on in the thread you say they might have approached several people. Might have been wise to write the first post in a more humble way.
