I'm a bit scared about going to a show in Georgia.

Just being honest....I lived in Atlanta for a year & i know its cool/laid back for the most part.

But the archaic factor is still around in the judicial system etc. I would be very careful about doing any "partying" in the hotel rooms etc.

That being said I'll still be going to the show lol

Everyone needs to be really careful when they're here, especially if you go to any bars in East Atlanta. There have been 5 kidnappings in the past 6 weeks in that area. Things are fucked.

Hey Mike....

I do know that weekend rates are cheaper than weekday rates at all Atlanta hotels as Atlanta is a business/convention town. Our room block starts on Wednesday so we have to take that into account. I dont mind telling you that some hotels in Atlanta WILL NOT sell you the entire hotel during a week night FOR ANY AMOUNT. It is insane what people will pay for hotel rooms in this town.

On a brighter note, the rate includes stuff like free faxes, phone calls, internet, etc. that you normally have to pay extra for when you pay the discount rates.

hey Im just noting a big discrepancy here and having booked the entire hotel will no doubt push the rates up...Im not saying you guys are ripping anyone off, just that the rate is way higher than normal for this hotel.

theres lots of hotels in the area for people to go to if they dont like that one...hell for 250 a night I will rent em my house here LOL

There is no doubt that if someone wants to save a few dollars they can book a hotel nearby but they will lose a lot of the benefits of staying at the show hotel. You figure they can save $100 but by the time they pay $25 for internet, and $20 for cabs, and then add in the 24 hour W Cafe that we have negotiated for FREE to our attendees then all of the sudden the savings seems a lot smaller.

Of course, I know some people need to be conservative so I am cool with anyone that wants to stay at a nearby hotel...or stay at your house! LOL!! ;)
