I am going on vacation in Nova-Scotia in 3 weeks, I will be in Cape Breton, I never went before, I heard the whole region is gorgeous.....but to live there I have no idea. I hope you will find some answers....

I grew up in the Halifax area. Great spot. I moved to Ottawa 10 years ago.

PROS:
Nice place, friendly people
Inexpensive housing
Downtown core filled with bars/pubs, ect.

CONS:
Small"er" city with no pro sports
Longer travel to the States

I'm sure there's more pluses and minuses. Weather is okay there. Lots of snow in winter BUT it often rains and melts the snow completely throughout the winter. Summers are warm but not too hot (25 celcius rather than 30+ here in Ottawa).
