Who's your favourite 8-dollar registrar?

Well, who is your favourite 8-dollars registrar?

I know, normally you get what you pay for. But im looking to save a little money on some bulk purchases. The registrar must be able to reg .com/.net/.org and transfer domains. Who should I avoid? Who do you like?

Thanks

I think that $2 Yahoo deal is for one domain only. Does it work if you sign up for ten million different accounts?

eNom for bulk as in many hundreds+ domains minimum. Drawback is to get the best price one typically needs to pre-pay a relatively large amount up-front.

For transfer-ins at rock-bottom pricing, GoDaddy is a good option for non-controversal domains - transfer-ins low as $7.19 ($6.99 + $0.20 icann fee). And it may be even less with a coupon - try some codes ... amazing how low their prices (and I'm talking without any add-ons) can go when one plays it right.

Moniker is good too, but only if doing bulk - their service level varies considerably, especially for folks with only few domains with them. You need to email them for their discount pricing - be sure to indicate the number of domains when requesting discount to maximize savings.

yes, and i dont think its easy enough to transfer domains out. Plus, that $2 is for first year only, its more like a bait than promotion lol

Bait it is for sure, since Yahoo is selling domains for far less then what they're paying the registry / icann (ie. around mid-$6 for .com) - companies typically don't sell stuff that far below cost unless they have some nasty tricks up their sleave...

According to what I read in another post, Yahoo raised their renewal rate to something like $34.95 per year. Yikes!

TIGHTDOMAINS.com
I have a few hundred with them. They are a Godaddy reseller and they offer some great deals each month. Some months they offer registrations at a sale for $1.99 a year.
