    I'm having ICQ issues on Trillian

    Can someone recommend another IM plugin option that works better? Also, if you have been trying to contact me in the past 12 hours on ICQ and have not received a reply, please hit me up again. I have not gotten any of your messages.

                  the only issue I have with pidgin is lately it keeps telling me im connected at another location drops me and then logs back on. I'm not the only one this is happening to but otherwise no complaints.

                      I'm using meebo right now since I'm not on my own computer, but even that is having issues loading icq. Just like trillian, it loads it but won't turn it on so I see everyone's number but I'm still offline. Arrgh

                                      meebo, trillian and a number of other third party applications have assisted me in thinning out my contact list.

                                      For that I am thankful.

                                          Did you know that Trillian is the name of Arthur Dent's girlfriend? Did you know that it was him trying to make a phone call (IM) which caused him to get sucked into a UFO and start the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy?

                                              I did know this and I have mumbled out loud a number of times about wondering how many 'youngsters' get all the Hitchhiker's references on the 'net with babelfish obviously also coming to mind.

                                              on a thread related side note..I can't get icq to connect via Trillian today

                                                                                  Basically all these ICQ programs suck. The best one (that doesn't suck) is called Adium, but the downfall is it's only available for OS X at the moment.
