Just saw it on the news...The police are holding people out of their homes. The flood waters have receded and they had CNN camera crews following the police as they went home to home kicking the doors in! Then they go through every persons's house to assess the damage and determine if the building is stable!
Meanwhile they interviewed the people being held out of their own homes. THEY ARE PISSED! I would be too. Can you imagine that? They are kicking people's doors in. I'm not kidding. And then going through their homes. I guess your jewelry is safe. I guess any cash you had there is safe. And I guess that stack of BBW hardcore that you didn't want anybody to know about won't now be laughed at around the community...What a bunch of bullshit. Meanwhile they interviewed a guy being held outside who owns 12 homes in the community that he rents out. He was standing there with 20 guys from a construction crew he hired that are actually experts, instead of just cops deciding if a home is "stable", he had the real guys that can fix shit. But they are all being held out. He said that he couldn't believe what was being done by the city govt. and that he was going to make sure that everyone of them were voted out in the next election. My wife made the comment of: "If they are going from home to home kicking in people's doors and rummaging through their homes...why didn't they just take the home owners in and have them open the door with the key since they are all being held on the outskirts of town anyway?" Good question. But that wouldn't have allowed them to enter private property and order everyone around like dogs would it? I would be infuriated to think that someone was in my home. Much less being held back while they kicked my damn door in. I would want to get in there and see what was left of my valuables. They were showing the cops busting the drywall in the homes with sledgehammers to "assess the damage" Unbelieveable. So now the homeowners...when they are finally "allowed" to go back to their homes in this free country of ours...not only have to replace all the water damaged stuff, but they are going to have to replace their front doors, their walls, and of course say goodbye to any jewelry or loose cash that somehow comes up missing while they are being held back and strangers ransack their homes. It ain't right. |

Yeah let the dude through. he just wants to get home. Then he falls drowns, and the cops get sued for letting him through. More to it than you think from just looking at a photo. or from watching the news. |

Unless they would like myself, among others, to start carrying weapons and doing all negotiations at gun point... from hand over your license and registration... to clear the intersection... I would suggest someone get a leash back on the cowboys. |
I feel bad for the guy that is trying to get home, but also bad for the cops who are doing their jobs. Although pulling the gun on the guy is overkill. If he wants to go that bad, let him!
|
on second thought... what would the cop do, would he actually shoot the guy for trying to go home?
|
And if he had let him get through and something happened to the guy people would be going nuts on him too.

Based on the full story, I am bothered he was not shot in the face for being a total dick.

Once slip of that guys foot and that cop would have been shredded. |
if you just follow the rule, this won't bother you.

Watch, 'Cops', some weekend on Saturday nights.
I love how they taze people before they even complete their warnings or sentence. Example... Hey you, if you don't get down right now (suspect already being tazed at this point)... I am going to have to taze and restrain you. Now that the dude is foaming at the mouth and crying. The entire county's police force piles on the deranged suspect to handcuff him. Talk about overkill. :disgust |

I thought everyone knew that when they say "If you dont' stop I'm going to tazy you", by "taze" they mean the real taze, where they stick it up your ass and hit the trigger. Those initial "tazes" are just them letting you know if you don't comply you'll get the "real" taze. :winkwink: |
cop pointing gun in face = I comply now, can I help you?
i think maybe they were being nice, I think they would have shot him the first 'bump' around heeeya |

Ignoring this story all together, the point of the police check points and increased police activity infiltrating daily life is all part of the "GET USED TO IT" idea. It starts out small and spreads. The cases you see in the news are the ones where people rebel against that bullshit and then they make an example out of you.

Here's a link to the CNN story. It's not the cops busting down the doors. It's city inspectors.
