Congrats Mo!
A few years ago a friend of mine, a co-worker, became a US citizen. I remember doing lunches with him and helping him study for his test. The test was difficult and most Americans would have problems passing it. I went to his swearing in and was stunned - They had people tell their stories about how they came to the US with just the shirts on their backs, and how five years later they had gone to college, gotten married, had kids, bought a house, and opened up a business. You can say what you want about the US and it's citizens. We sure do have our faults. But if we are so bad, why are people banging down the door to get in? |
