Same here. I was lucky enough to find a page someone put up to walk me through the terra.es signup.

Man was I excited when zfreehost came out. Everyone signed up and was talking about it on the boards...banner-free hosting, unlimited space, etc. Rock solid for a few weeks until the redirecting started. I emailed their support to find out why 2 in 5 clicks to my galleries wound up on a 404 page. They emailed me back and said they were working on fixing the problem. I think I believed them for a few weeks :1orglaugh

Tried to survive with freehosting for a while back in the day, but I didn't start making $$$ until I started paying for it. I still have some fond memories of those hosts though :thumbsup

I used and still use (for some things) sponsor free hosting. wow it seemed like it was only a year ago I started... haha

I had that program that kept my mouse moving so I could earn my money from AllAdvantage.

That was a great side income in college.

I used Tripod as a file host for years.

sexhound was good and their top list of sites got you extra traffic, web1000 (good file size limit) (until they redirected all the traffic) then tripod.jp lasted out for a while..

also used to be able to sign up for a free aol account and get free webspace. Then comcast accounts donated by surfers.

We're talking 98-99-00, for me it was mosly Smutserver. They were very TGP friendly back then, and I made a small fortune on those sites.

I started my first models site before that on Angelfire, but quickly clued in that it wasn't a good idea to host adult sites on non-adult hosts.
