You guys still have one of the cheapest gas in the world.

We're talking about how low it was back in the day, no whining here.

I can go back to .42/gal. My Dad used to wait till we went out for dinner on Friday night to fill up in Montgomery Ala cause the gas in town was .45/gal

sniperwolf 06-11-2008 12:11 PM

It was something like 0.60/liter way back 2000...

Thats about the time I got my driver license. I remember filling in jersey for $.99 and it was a bit more in brooklyn.

Funny how everyone blames local goverment for gas prices. And it's not goverment fault,it is fault of people who produce most oil.Back in 1995 cost of barel was 30$,and now it's 130$.That is huge difference. Also Usa have luck having cheaper oil of entire europe thanks to own oil production, but usa oil production is'nt enough to cover need for it so Usa depend on OPEC same as rest of world.

When I first started driving, gas was .23 cents per litre.

circa 1979.

Today it's $1.36 :(

The Back to the Future trilogy was on the other day, and it was funny to see gas prices in the background. They were about $1.80ish.

It was also funny to see the second one and what they did for 2015, like flying cars, skateboards and when she puts a super tiny pizza in a little oven for about 5 seconds and it's a full pizza.

I remember gas at .72 in the 70's. I was born in 75 so i was very young, but i remember waiting in line at a gas station. I think it was during a fuel shortage and just remember this one instance for some reason ;)

When I got my first car and bought gas, it was around 65cents per gallon.

Took me almost $90 to fill up my Yukon yesterday.
