i have heard his name before. i wonder why he didn't become one of the first group of astronauts that were written about in The Right Stuff.
i gotta watch that movie again - i forget now why Chuck Yaeger never got to go on a space mission.

Imagine if you got into some sort of horrible spin part way down. At terminal velocity it would take something like an hour to descend to the ground.
