Blog "empire" from scratch project thread.

Maybe you saw my "Blog empire from scratch, who want's to see??" thread? If you didn't this is going to be a 10 blog project that is going to start today.

General idea is to build 10 blogs on 1 virtual hosting account, each blog/domain get it's own IP. This is the beginning of the project so first thing is first, I am going to decide what niches I am going to use and then buy 10 new regged domains.

Blogs go on a virtual with new domains since this is a real "from scratch" project. That said I am going to utilize some services that will smoothen and quicken my setup process.

That's it for now, update when I have decided niches and bought names. Shouldn't take too long.

i haven't sow your thread but 10 blog network can bring a lot of money depends of keywords and niche that you promote ;) good luck with it...

Ok, so I decided to go 5 niches, 2 blogs in each niche. I also wanted the blog names and keywords to be pretty generic and max 3 word length so .com's was out of the question.

I have bought 10 domains now, all .net or .org I don't feel it is going to hurt the network that much that it's not .com domains.

Long time ago I registered new domains btw, damn it's getting hard to come up with decent ones.

Niches I have decided to use are: Amateur , Pornstar, Hairy, Big butt and Milf.
The domains will be posted soon.

I have put in a order for a PSV2-Plan at Phatservers.com My choice of host . $28 per month with 10 unique ip's.

When the domains and mysql databases are setup I will update you.

I have added the domains, ftp accounts and mysql databases now. Now I need to wait for the DNS to update.

After that I will get a hold of Rochard or Avalanche from Blog Blowout, I am going to order 10 themes from them, and conveniently enough WordPress installation along with some plugin installations are included Check them out.

Usually I use BCyber for WP setup, he is great and provide a reliable, fast and cheap service, this time I needed the themes though so thats why I'm going with Blog Blowout.

you should have mixed in a .com or two just to put the rest the idea that it makes a difference to search engines, and maybe even a hyphened keyword domain or two as well

I will probably be adding in more domains to this network so that won't be a problem to do abit later on.

a little update btw: total cost is at the moment at $117. $28 for first month of hosting including the 10 ip's. $89 for the 10 new regged domains. $200 more will be added soon for the WP themes and installs.
