Sounds like exactly what I've got, except for I'm only sporting one monitor. Haven't stepped up to two yet.

Pretty close to mine: Q6600, with 2 WD 640's in RAID which all the benchmarks I was seeing showed these WD's faster than the old raptors. I love the radeon HD cards.

Also has anyone upgraded from a decent dual core (my e6600 for example is 2.4ghz overclocked to 3.22ghz) to a quadcore? I wonder if there's much of a difference |

Dell Dimension DXP061
Intel Core 2 6400 @ 2.13ghz 2.13 Ghz, 3.00 GB of Ram Microsoft WIndows XP Professional Version 2002 I stopped getting pimped out systems for my main computer when I realized I was just wasting money. I don't play video games and think people who do are wasting time. So now I just get what I need to run photoshop, dreamweaver, metapad, AOL, Live Writer, ICQ, IE, Firefox and AntiVirus/Firewall. I almost shelled out $2500 for the system I have now... or would have had but then rethought and bought this one for $550. |

I still get a nice system for myself. It's a nice tax write off, plus I like being able to play and do everything from my main machine. I have 2 more PC's and a laptop that I use for various things. But I like having a top of the line system every 18-24 months. Plus I need every write off I can get. Single dude. No kids. Not married. Yeah... ![]() |

You know if Apple was smart, they would get into the game console market, but one up everyone. Set it up as a All in one TV computer unit mixing a Game Console, Mac Mini & Apple TV all into one unit and sell it for under $1k.
