Anything similar to ImageReady? CS3 doesn't have it!!

Hey all, I upgraded recently and just noticed that CS3 doesn't have imageready, and I need something like it to slice and dice some templates

what is a solid app that does what image ready did?

Do you no longer have CS2? You can run both, CS2 and CS3 on the same PC with no conflicts...

Yeah they just merged it, it's all there.

Check out "File->Browse" too. Great for working with galleries.

you can't in CS3. YOu have to use dreamweaver or fireworks. It is not easy to figure out either, not similar to imageready at all. Not saying it is HARD but it's not the same if you're used to imageready. I actually went back to CS2...

interesting

Web Content palette/Rollovers/Image Maps
This feature is not available in Photoshop CS3. It is available in both Fireworks CS3 and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. For more information, refer to the Fireworks CS3 Help chapter "Slices, Rollovers, and Hotspots." In Dreamweaver CS3, refer to the Help documents "Create a rollover image" and "Insert client-side image maps."

it's a big waste of time for people who aren't interesting in using dreamweaver/fireworks for the majority of the page layout. I personally have no desire to use those programs. Even if I have to edit the code afterwards, I use notepad.

I am not against dreamweaver, I use it regularly for it's php and javascript functionality

but to do what they are suggesting is like a back step for software, not a forward thinking move

image ready had so much functionality right at the single click of a mouse, and frankly I knew it inside and out

looks like cs2 is my last photoshop version for a while

actually, it isn't...even the adobe help manual says image maps are no longer available and that rollovers can't be done in Photoshop, you have to create two layers, export them as seperate images and then use the javascript tool in dreamweaver

before it was a single right click, now it is a process

back stepping
