Would you fuck with this guy's website?
Not too long ago we did a website for a bunch of street fighters out West. Nothing fancy, just an informational site with a phpbb board. They do Thai Boxing, Karate, Boxing, etc. in old warehouses and have people watch for a fee. No gloves, no rules, just good ol' ass kicking.
Yesterday their capo calls me, a little upset, saying someone fucked his website up. (good thing he is 2000 miles away, I wouldn't ant to be around when he's upset...).
Some jackass spambot operator had created about 1200 profiles signups with links to websites, and has posted about 500 spam messages. We installed a script to remove the signups and did a captcha verification, so the booboo is all better now.
Anyway, the boys are very upset and are asking my computer geek now to find out who the idiot was, and we keep telling them it's not possible, even though we know it is possible under certain circumstances.
How can people be so stupid? You don't want to fuck with these guys for a bunch of backlinks to viagra sites and affiliates, don't you, so let it be, will ya?

) first a harvester strips forums from google using criteria to isolate default configured versions of phpbb, at best the wm might glance at the list of forum urls.
