Well I thought my biz card was nice complete with pic until at the NY show l was given what l can only say was a totally wicked card by Jerry of Intense Cash.

His card is not only a type of brushed metal its die cut too,that is one impressive card Jerry and must have cost a fortune !

So my question is when you get home with a pile of biz cards does a good one make you remember the person or company more ?

Not really into glitz... I'm not really going to remember somebody that passes by and simply hands out a card, regardless of how many cuts it may give you, LOL.

What Im trying to find out from a biz perspective is how important a unique biz card really is, it doesnt have to be all glitz.

This was the card baddog gave me the first time we met ,simply white card with his urls on the reverse.

When I got back from the LA show I connected him with his card amongst all the others I had

Anyone who's received my card (many people on this board) know how ridiculously simple it is (think american psycho lol)... The reason for that is a sarcastic statement about cards in general and what I think of them.

p.s. when you hand me your card at a show I leave it in the hotel room before I leave.

myself I think a good unique biz card is very important, be honest how many times have you got from a show and thought who the hell was that

putting your face pic on it is a good idea for sure..specially if you're not "talent". If you are talent, I think its a must..
and yeah, I usually leave/throw away all hosting/billing cards, and keep the rest for later review.
If there's a particular person I want to get in touch ASAP, then I write a note on the back..a while ago people started doing this..

A few years ago l was given a cd rom the same size and shape as a biz card compete with logo,when l popped it in my pc it played a great presentation.

I thought these would be the cards of the future but they never took off really.

Yeah I guess Jerry kills it, that's the most intense visit card I've ever seen..

Sex search has very much pimpin cards too.. then Gamma (I remember Nancy when she was with Pornication and now Magalie) and Zombiegirl.

Anyway, you won't find visit cards likein the adult biz anywhere else..

Business cards can be tricky. Clever and Annoying are pretty close to each other.

I LOVE Jerry's card. That is beyond clever into brilliant!

I also love the idea of the CD rom card. It should have been a perfect combo.

Just give me something with a thick card stock that has class. Doesn't matter what color or how flashy or how simple. Just make it thick and classy. If I liked you or think you can better my business in any manner, I will keep it.

But, shouldn't it depend on what you do? An attorney must have a thick classy card. A designer might be expected to be creative with her card. Talent might be expected to have their image on the card. What one considers classy, might be over the top for another arena.

I think it depends on what you are promoting. Imagine an attorney handing someone a glossy card with an image of them on the front. I think they would be destroyed immediately. I get what you are saying, but I think "cheese" is relative.

Oh yeah, good call. I tried to get those for our movie cards for Yappo, but the price on them were insane. Like $1/card.
