all around a pretty exciting night.
ya know tito almost pulled it out, i was on the edge of my seat. i hate that big headed cocksucker. and there';s not many fighters i really don't like. anyhow, machida is a machine and toughed it out. that guy is going to do great things in his mma career. i was more stoked for this fight than any of the others really. i'm wondering if we won't see tito wind his fat fucking head in elitexc. he says he has a lot of fighting to do. i'm sure they're looking to pick up some names. with the rough waters they're sitting in, tito might be a name to bring in to up their numbers.
wanderlei i'm happy for. i didn't like seeing him go down to liddell, but chuck DID clearly beat him in that fight. he took out jardine like it was no big thing. we still got a lot of wanderlei to see. good shit. the axe murderer will throw down again.
bj versus sherk was a little bit monotonous, but it ended in a fury. sherk's face took a fucking beating from all those jabs. he just sat there eating them.
i liked watching that new croatian guy reljic toss out the high kicks crocop style. it was an exciting fight to watch. the guy is pretty one dimensional though, and i expect to see him get knocked the fuck out sooner than later.
thaigo silva is making moves too, excited to see where he takes things. he's got game in the cage. another good win for him. takes an asskicking to win with a submission by strikes.
i was happy i didn't miss this event. and to think, i considered not getting this one.Comment

i was really hoping tito would pull it out.. i dont think a lot of people know this, but UFC has gotten rich by paying fighters shit.. now, i dont mean tito, lidell, silva, hughes, serra, etc.. but the undercards make as little as $1000 a fight for a pay per view undercard..
i can see why tito is pissed with dana white, but i also think he (tito) thinks he is worth more than he is worth. however, lets not forget how he brought a lot of excitement to UFC in the early days.
in any case, now that UFC owns pride and wec, i think the fights are going to keep getting better and better..
speaking of wec, i am pumped to see the pulver/faber fight in the next week....
faber is a great fighter with a lot of skills. it will be interesting to see if he can dominate a UFC guy like jens...Comment

Machida is great to watch. He doesn't run, he simply doesn't get hit. He still stays aggressive while remaining elusive. No one can hit him, no one knows hwo to handle him. He wouldn't be winning so many unanimous deicisions if he didn't remain aggresive. The most boring fight of the night was bj vs sherk in my opinion. what exactly happened there? We watched three rounds of penn and sherk standing in front of each, sherk eating left jabs, and swinging like a fucking retard not hitting anything. and it ended in a fast whooping by bj like we all knew it would. you're going to see machida win a lot more unamimous decisions yet, so get used to it.Comment

Ask Bas Rutten what a Liver shot can do to any man.
Hes still very young and has a few years ahead of him.
Machida is a VERY skilled fighter and he couldnt put Tito away.
Tito actually showed some nice submission skills for a ground and pound guy.

There's no doubt Tito will find himself a comfortable new home soon enough. Did you hear the fans? There's plenty of people who LOVE Tito Ortiz. he's stilla money maker, he still has got plenty of game, and he can still bring a crowd. He would be a great steal for EliteXC if they can afford his contract. They can throw him some duds to pummel the shit out of and make some money from it. They need a couple more big names. they aren't gonna float around on hyping Kimbo forever.
Machida couldn't put away Tito no, but as far as power goes, Machida isn't an overly powerful fighter. What he is, is an incredible skilled and technical karate master. He's hard to hit, and while he stays elusive, he is still aggressively scoring points with strikes. Thats why we're seeing him rack up so many unanimous decisions. I like watching Machida, while a lot of people I guess don't. Comparing Machida's elusiveness to Kalib Starnes straight up trackmeet pussy performance is just stupid...Comment

No doubt, nothing like Kailb. Machida has great skills and is very elusive, as well as being a decievingly strong light heavy. He will find some real problems when he faces a great striker though, which tito is not. There's a lot of people who dislike a mouthpiece like Tito. He's not overly popular with anyone I know around here. I think his "support our troops" flagwaving hoorah hoorah gets him a lot of love.
