there are a few places that have their currencies pegged to the US dollar....China used to be until they depegged it last year...Hong Kong is still pegged to the dollar, but depending on how the US currency goes that may not be true for much longer.

I don't think this is what you want, but I am pretty sure that many countries in the Caribbean and Central America will accept dollars. Pretty sure Mexico will, it was when I was there last... being on the border, I'm sure much of it still does.

                        Cambodia, Laos and Cuba

All use USD along with their own currency. Cuba claimed to stop using USD about 2 years ago, but it is still used among the people.

In this great country called the US of A, USD1 is still $1.

                            Promo until the Amero.

Sweden use USD. You can buy a hamburger at McDonalds for $1,5.

Actually that is not true. The USD is worth LESS than what the USD used to be because it is no longer backed by gold. I forgot the exact amount, but compared to what it used to be worth, it's only worth a small fraction of that now.

Backed by paper = a lot less than backed by gold.

And yes, I totally agree that the Amero is coming. Once the dollar totally tanks, and Canada starts to tank (it just started dropping), then they will come in and save they day with the Amero.

They break it, they fix it, they look like heros, we may or may not lose. All the while the people are sleeping at the wheel.

The Bahamas uses US currency as well as its own.

Since the ratio is 1:1, it is common for visitors and residents to pay for goods and services in a mismatched combination of the two currencies.
