Hey Hal! I heard Warren Buffett, the most wealthy man in the US Galactical Empire (c)(tm) is supporting BARACK OBAMA and the DEMOCRATS.
So if it makes dollars and sense to him, what was all that about the democrats running the country into the ground, stealing all your money, and economically ruining you?
Polls don't mean much right now, though. The fight hasn't really started yet. Still, it looks like Obama will have to work pretty hard to defeat McCain. I just hope he doesn't turn out to be a disappointment.

That actually is the biggest problem imo. The fact he is trailing in these swing states already when the Republicans have such a poor image and its supposed to be a guaranteed lock for the democrats, is really the issue. He is trailing before the Right gets out the hammer and further beats him down.
Polls also show him losing to McCain in New Hampshire, Missouri and North Carolina in which the polls all show Clinton beating McCain. Not to mention Kentucky and West Virgina.
The one state Obama has a chance to win that Clinton does not is Virgina and maybe Colorado.
Its going to get ugly.

McCain already won. I don't know what the fuss about.
you're wrong bro.....independents like myself, moderate conservatives & green party type people will vote for obama over another "4 years of bush policy"
obama will win....we'll come back to this thread later so i can say "I told ya so!"
BTW the poll out of North Carolina is the real poll that tells the story. It has Obama losing to McCain but Clinton beating McCain. In a state that Obama won by 14 points in the primary.
How could that be???
1. Obama's bases is consists of a large portion of voters who ALWAYS vote democrat. Therefore when polled Clinton vs McCain they still go Democrats. There is no way the A.A community votes for McCain. They may stay home in protest sure but they won't vote right wing. Never do. Neither will the far left liberals.
2. Clinton's base contains a large chunk of Reagon democrats who have and will vote republican if they feel the democrat candidate is to far left of center. Especially with a candidate in McCain is close to center on the right. So if its Obama vs McCain a large % of those voters choose McCain.
Put that on repeat for Ohio, PA, FL, MI, KY, WV.
Its FAR FAR easier for Clinton to get Obama's base (minus the diehard youths) than it is for Obama to get Clinton's base. Especially with McCain as the candidate. The Right was not happy with McCain exactly, but now they are happy they "lucked" into it.

And Your votes won’t do shit. Think of those conservatives that will be brain washed by Republicans come election time. They made Kerry look like a complete traitor.. Just think whats coming Obama’s way… Ties to Muslim community, self proclaimed “no religion”, anti war ( translates to anti-patriot).. I would be worried about those votes not about hand full of green party idiots.
I once believed that Obama had no chance against Mccain, but all that changed when I saw the turnout for the guy. He is packing stadiums in Florida of all places, as well as other huge turnouts while Mccunt is barely filling the local YMCA. Even Fox cant hide the fact that Obama gets more love than Billary and Mccant both together then double it up.

No doubt one may quote history to support any cause, as the devil quotes scripture.

Just look at all the conservative news outlets. They bashed Clinton from day one because they would rather face Obama. Go through the Drudge Report archives for the past year and ever day had negative headlines about Hillary and goofy pictures of her where she looked like a crazy person. Even when Hillary was winning primaries they listed it like this..
Obama: 48 %
Clinton: 52 %
There is no reason to put Obama on top. The one thing about Republicans is they know how to win elections and play politics and if they want to face Obama, that tells you something.
The only way Mcain will lose is if he makes a huge blunder and has a senior moment and calls Obama a negro or something else catastrophic. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
These arguments are ridiculous. Talking about electoral math based on today's poll numbers as if they're certain to stay that way.
Puhlease.
Neither candidate has picked a Veep yet, and McCain hasn't been hit yet. He's had a free ride through this entire process other than about two weeks when Romney was trying to hit him.
If polls at this point in the process were an accurate indicator of who would win in November then Michael Dukakis, Ross Perot, and John Kerry all would have been President.

Why on earth would you want him? I know you make real money not like 99% of gfy, so why do you want to pay more in taxes.
yes, let's keep pandering to the bigots and retards, let THEM keep running the country like they have for the last eight years. I just can't see that ending badly.

If we took a poll 12 months ago, nobody would have predicted the race would be between McCain and Obama. Polls so far from election time are meaningless.
Hmm did he open for Miley Cyrus ya think? MILEY FOR PRES!!!!!
From The Houston Chronicle:
A Hannah Montana bonanza at the rodeo
By Alexis Grant
Reliant Park had never been so pink.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo grounds were swarming Sunday afternoon with young girls in pink cowboy hats and boots, pink shirts and skirts, even pink boas, all for ? and you've gotta scream it ? Hannah Montana!
So many fans visited the rodeo to see the pop star perform that they set a new paid attendance record of 73,295. The rodeo rookie's debut beat the previous mark set last year by 15-time RodeoHouston performers Brooks & Dunn by 428.
It was obvious from the high-pitched screams that filled Reliant Stadium that Hannah Montana, a fictional Disney Channel character played by Miley Cyrus, did not let her fans down.
"I loved it!" said Katie Estelle Klaff, 8, echoing the response of nearly every girl who was lucky enough to get a seat in the packed stadium. "She sings really loud and she danced a lot and she didn't just stand there."
"It's like get up and dance!" said Maggie Boyle, 11, of Webster.
Lots of girls did just that during the 30-minute concert, while moms and dads looked on.
"For a 14-year-old, she puts on a heck of a show," said Ron Coben of West University, who brought his twin son and daughter, plus a friend for each.
Once Hannah Montana was chauffeured out of the arena in a fancy red car ? typical for an everyday teenager who lives a double life as a rock star ? the Cheetah Girls took the stage, and the screaming began again.
Young fans weren't the only ones who left Reliant Park happy. The large crowds made for better-than-average business for food and souvenir vendors around the park.
"I haven't moved since a quarter to 11," said Leia Copeland, who works for Henna Tattoos & Face Painting. A line formed outside of her booth as she painted a pink butterfly mask on a little girl. "This is way outta control," said her husband, David Copeland, who also was painting the face of a little girl.
At a cowboy hat stand run by Risoli Enterprises, Larry Feaster said sales had been steady all day.
"I'm selling a lot of pink, but I'm selling a lot of black, too," Feaster said. "They all come as a family and they go and get one for the young man, too."
Even alcohol, despite the heavy pre-teen turnout, was selling well, said Raymond Harvey, who works at a Miller Lite stand where machines stirred frozen margaritas.
"A lot of moms need some relaxation of some sort," Harvey said.
Indeed, some moms had worked hard for the event ? like Jennifer Boyd of Crosby and Kristin Lewis of Baytown. They arrived at the park mid-afternoon with three mini Hannah Montanas in tow: their daughters and a friend, all dressed in Hannah-like black boots, pink outfits and, most importantly, blonde wigs.
"We shopped our butts off for the last month to piece them all together," Boyd said.
The concert was the rodeo's hottest ticket ever. When 70,000 tickets went on sale in January, they sold out in three minutes. And 3,000 standing-room only tickets that were up for grabs Saturday were gone in no time.
That didn't go unnoticed by scalpers, who offered tickets for at least twice their face value.
Several of the concert-goers said they felt fortunate to have gotten seats.
"We bought our tickets two months ago," said Katina Wilhite of Katy. "When they first came out, we got 'em."

Obama on Dem's ticket = McCain in the White House.
Thank you..
Ok let's assume you're right for a second. (big assumption)
What's the point of telling people this now? Obama is going to be the nominee, this thing is over practically (if not yet officially). Is this just a preemptive I told you so in case McCain wins in November?
Look around your country? Do you really want another republican in office? If McCain wins I will truly believe that Americans are one, if not the, dumbest civilization on the face of the planet.
What makes you think McCain is a Republican? Or George W for that matter?

Its going to get worst for obama when he runs against McCain. How much do you want to bet there will be commercials on tv sponsored by some “non-profit veterans association”, “true faith believers” and other “non Republican sponsored” organization bashing him all day long… Wanna bet? Now thats when you’ll see “undecided” swing towards McCain..

Those exact same people would have been doing the exact same thing to Hillary. Not only that, but her record AND Bill's record would be fair game, and they have a much bigger record to go after.
I love how people take their political opinions here and state them as fact. This one can't win, that one won't make it, blah blah blah.
You have your opinion and you're surfing the web looking for things to reinforce what you already believe. I could use that same strategy to make a compelling case for creationism, or that global warming is a myth, but that doesn't make either of those things true.

.
No, the numbers prove otherwise. Obviously, when compared to Obama more people would prefer her over Obama. Im just stating facts, not my opinion. If you want to see someone’s opinion please read pussyservers indistinct nonsense. You do understand that its polls.. Actual polls show that Clinton is in better sape. Now, you obviously like Obama better and will be making every excuse to prove otherwise, but I showed you actual polls conducted by people that specialize in it.. Once again, NOT OPINION. Now, you have an opinion… that its to early to say and that things will change. Now that’s an opinion.
Okay, are you saying this pic is from a Hanna Montana concert?
Nope just saying a 15 year old or 17 whatever she is now drew 70 some thousand, so in the same thinking I suppose she would make a good leader of our country.
Hillary supporters are saying that now because they want her in....but when it actually comes down to it you guys wouldnt make the same mistake again would you? would you? how much shittier do things have to get before the other side gets a shot
I think that McCain has had a fairly free ride to date. We'll see who he picks as his running mate. I think this will make a big difference.
I think that the Dem ticket will be OBillary. In this case I don't think the Republicans can win and in reality even the hardest line Republican pundants will admit that.
