What's the point of telling people this now? Obama is going to be the nominee, this thing is over practically (if not yet officially). Is this just a preemptive I told you so in case McCain wins in November?

Ive been saying it since day one.

Its going to get worst for obama when he runs against McCain. How much do you want to bet there will be commercials on tv sponsored by some “non-profit veterans association”, “true faith believers” and other “non Republican sponsored” organization bashing him all day long… Wanna bet? Now thats when you’ll see “undecided” swing towards McCain..

Those exact same people would have been doing the exact same thing to Hillary. Not only that, but her record AND Bill's record would be fair game, and they have a much bigger record to go after.

I love how people take their political opinions here and state them as fact. This one can't win, that one won't make it, blah blah blah.

You have your opinion and you're surfing the web looking for things to reinforce what you already believe. I could use that same strategy to make a compelling case for creationism, or that global warming is a myth, but that doesn't make either of those things true.

.

No, the numbers prove otherwise. Obviously, when compared to Obama more people would prefer her over Obama. Im just stating facts, not my opinion. If you want to see someone’s opinion please read pussyservers indistinct nonsense. You do understand that its polls.. Actual polls show that Clinton is in better sape. Now, you obviously like Obama better and will be making every excuse to prove otherwise, but I showed you actual polls conducted by people that specialize in it.. Once again, NOT OPINION. Now, you have an opinion… that its to early to say and that things will change. Now that’s an opinion.

Nope just saying a 15 year old or 17 whatever she is now drew 70 some thousand, so in the same thinking I suppose she would make a good leader of our country.

flashfire 05-23-2008 01:56 AM

Hillary supporters are saying that now because they want her in....but when it actually comes down to it you guys wouldnt make the same mistake again would you? would you? how much shittier do things have to get before the other side gets a shot

nation-x 05-23-2008 03:59 AM

I think that McCain has had a fairly free ride to date. We'll see who he picks as his running mate. I think this will make a big difference.

I think that the Dem ticket will be OBillary. In this case I don't think the Republicans can win and in reality even the hardest line Republican pundants will admit that.

That's a retarded comparison, the point they were making is NO modern candidate has had the ability to attract voters out to hear them speak in the way Obama has...period!

This election will be a mandate on the last 8 years. McCain is just a lamb to the slaughter. The repubs know they can't win and need to regroup with a new plan in 4 years. So here ya go mac, it's your turn to run you old fuck.

Polls are not FACTS.

You can say it's a "fact" that she is polling better in certain states right now against McCain. That's true....but you're trying to extrapolate that to a "fact" that says Obama will lose in November.

She has always and will always poll better in those states than Obama. When it comes to the south and industrial midwest John Edwards polls better than both of them.

So what?

Obama's electoral map has always been different than hers.

Besides, polls done this far out are meaningless. If they were an indicator of who would win, Hillary would have won every primary by 20+ points, and Michael Dukakis, Ross Perot, and John Kerry all would have been President.

If polls meant anything at all Ron Paul would have won the GOP nomination. If I remember correctly he won every live poll by far, even on Fox.

Ron Paul was not ever taken seriously by the media is why he fell off the face of the earth. The influence of television on american elections is far greater than it might look.

Polls only matter when the big media companies use them in their spin before millions of viewers. Their comments posed in the form of questions. Otherwise nobody knows anything about them. Who gives a shit if a tree falls in the woods if nobody is around to hear it is the point.

That's not even close to true. You have good arguments to make on why McCain could win in November, why do you have to rely on such blatant lies?

Obama rallies are flat out huge, people are excited about him. No other politician in the country can match what he's doing in terms of drawing crowds.

McCain was in Texas for the primary, he could barely fill up his town hall meetings.

No, those are states that OTHER democrats would need to win in November.

Kerry could have won without Florida if he had won Ohio.

Obama can put alot of states into play that Clinton, Kerry, or Gore couldn't. 270 is 270, just because Obama plans on using a different path to 270 doesn't mean he has less of a chance.

The last 2 nominees have depended on the states you mentioned and they BOTH LOST. Maybe a new strategy isn't such a bad idea.
