Video capture decks, what's the best?

For you video editors - what is the best workhorse capture deck?

I'd like something that does a lot of formats, PAL & NTSC, HDV, SD, HD

    any thoughts on this one?

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...U_HDV_VTR.html this is the one you want....

do you have a need that you need to have all the features of a giant deck though... hit me up on icq unless your filming stuff for broadcast you do NOT need something that pricey at all...

you can snag one of these I got one of these that I use more than the mu35

      the gv-hd700 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...o_Walkman.html

great deck... if you do not have a need to go from minidv to nle then out to like hdcam or dvcam full size then a pro deck like that is a waste of money big time... if you want something to capture to save wear on your heads of you cam and still be able to record back to it from your nle get the hdv700

I use that deck in my office, it works great for DV & HDV and making feature length DVCam masters.
