Google Penalties - I need help!

Are there any (adult) SEO experts that you know of who have some experience in dealing with Google Penalties?

Yes, last October I lost all of my rankings overnight. I was in the top 5 for some highly competitive keywords. I dropped to #900+ with all of them, thus I assume I got hit with the so called -950 penalty.

Well, it sounds like you were doing something VERY non-Google friendly...Any ideas about what it could have been?

I was buying links. That's the only thing considered non-google friendly that I did. What puzzles me though is that all of the sites who are currently in the top ten for porn, free porn and so forth are most certainly buying links as well and are partly doing (allegedly harmful) A-B hardlink trades too.

Also most of the links I bought have expired by now, but my rankings haven't changed yet, all of my former top ten keywords are still at #900+. My problem is that everything is so contradictory, sometimes I think that I spotted the penalty trigger, but then I find some top ten site that is doing exactly the same thing and that has obviously not been penalized.

So after all I don't really know why I have been penalized but I guess it's because of the links i bought.

I have made a few posts about the google 950, I think in a couple seperate threads.

I'm not certain its about links, its proven on my sites to be more of a big picture thing, and almost always because too many good flags and no or not enough bad ones.

Email me your ICQ, I have a few in penalty, a few that are out, a few that should be, and a few that are about to be out..haha ___ john )@ net-brains.org

950 penalties are typically due to over optimization.

Thanks everyone for your help! I've also had a very informative ICQ talk with Jdoughs, on-page deoptimizing indeed seems to be the way to go. I'll update this thread when my rankings improve, which they hopefully will
