I think you're really pushing this issue a bit much. The "other" thread wasn't meant to turn into a lynching, just a discussion of where this biz is at. CE is a company that has been around for a long time and I know the people there, they're certainly not looking to destroy the adult biz.

I'm a bit pissed that a thread meant for a discussion about xsales was taken and turned into an attack on the credibility of a company like that :( Especially one on people I have known for a long time.

You're right man.. I'm sick, I think I have mono.. Kinda delirious.. But honestly I'm tired of the constant clusterfuck in adult. In the early 2000's, adult sites really started cleaning themselves up. In the late nineties it had reached a point where a large number of sites were complete scams, which just diluted the value of online porn overall.

Then in the 2000's, it started to get a LOT better. Sites were really pushing value to the consumers, and it showed. Webmasters were making much better products.

Now it seems like with the money drying up a bit, the vultures are coming out in droves.

Anyways endrant, I'll drop the issue, but if everyone just keeps nodding along it won't be long before it's you who feels the pain. Nobody cares if someone is getting screwed until it happens to them, and I don't think that's right.

Also when these customers who DO chargeback become dead customers, that affects all of us. I guess the bro-machine is too strong for common sense around here. If nobody else cares enough, I guess I'll just go watch the Celtics win ;)

Our affiliates need only to worry about sending traffic, let us worry about conversions, cb's and managing the risks at hand.

One more question as it relates to affiliates. Since I run review sites, I would only feel comfortable promoting these new sites if I was allowed to explain to my customers that there are pre-checked cross-sales, how they work, where they are, and how to spot them.

That's one of the most retarded statements I've ever read... I run a business.. That business relies on people willing to put down their CC to buy a porn membership.. That join page is filled with shady crap...

let's see.. I want to sign up for free to the lesbian site ... but is the join page about signing up to that site? Can't tell for sure.. It says I have to cancel my membership to the lesbian site (which I thought was free) within 2 days or I'll be charged.. oh.. but wait.. if I cancel the site I signed up to (which I thought was the lesbian site), I'll start getting charged for the mega site which I couldn't opt out of... So what site am I signing up to for a free life time membership?
