Now that's true....The first time I really saw it used a lot was by the BangBros....Now EVERYBODY has a girl with a shocked look on her face...

if healthy was happy there would not be this thread.

Healthy means we will be here for a long time. Dropping the sales that goes for everyone.

I agree.
We're in a recession. The phrase "tightening the belt" keeps coming up. You're going to see companies cutting back on extemporaneous expenses.
This isn't just about the dollar and piracy though - there's more competition than ever for the same decreasing dollar. There aren't fewer porn consumers. In fact, there are probably now more than ever.
There's going to be a shakeout in the market. Some will weather the storm, some won't.

You simply have to face the facts...

1. Large conglomerates have two choices. Cut out the fat, or merge.

They are doing the whole corporate merger now. Next will be the cuts.

2. Small to mid-market niche companies, as well as the mom n pops, are safe, and will continue making the same sales or grow as always.

They do not have the big overhead, and can more easily adjust to change. Plus focus on more targeted markets and provide a personal touch the conglomerates can't, or won't.

In this whole 'drama' of change. It's really the bigger companies who are effected more so than some others. It's easier for smaller companies to police their shit and get it removed. They are also more personal an agile.

As the saying goes, the only constant IS change..

:2 cents:

I've only found a few programs that offer billing in Euro's and british pounds. I'd love to see more do that! Even using revshare, you end up making as much if not more then PPS just with the initial signup. Great thread Ben!!! :thumbsup

I say the customer base is growing.
The public is more educated and has a better idea for what they want.
Our overcrowded market is self cleaning, and requires stronger business structures and practices.
The consolidation has already started 2 years ago and will soon reach its peek.
Whatever your business is, survival and growth in today's market will come with brand loyalty, which means a clean and efficient experience for the users.

There are some very relevant points, one thing I would point out:

retention / care about the content programming / interaction with existing members base is going to be more important then ever, adult biz powerhouses with a combination of dating / cams / video in place are the best positioned to cope with any potential losses.

As for the international traffic - just to note, we are just testing the brand new site with ccbill / epoch in place so far and in three languages with different and very much local traffic sources.

The numbers so far confirm my theory, that the potential of non English (German and Italian in our case so far) speaking traffic paying with a credit card is probably way higher than what's the general public and presented opinion. More $ / unique sign up then what we could most likely make with phone billing.

The problem I see is that the international members are even not aware they can choose more suitable solutions such as EuroDebet and go for the first choice available, therefore more localisation of the join page neccessary.
