FTP Client for Vista

Anyone know of a good one? possibly a free & good one?

Ive been using CoffeeCup but I realized it is corrupting files from my Vista computer. Same files, same FTP Client, uploaded on a winXP machine, not corrupted. It is crazy...

You're probably sending as ASCII, not Binary, or your 'auto' settings are fucked.

FileZilla is free, and ugly, but it works.

Does WS_FTP LE work on Vista? That's still my favorite FTP client after all these years.

Other ones just seem so bloated.

www.flashfxp.com is the best and has long trial. I bought it later. Also does server to server FTP and save batches.

My favorite client too and works fine on vista.
Just copy all folder from program files and move to vista based computer to keep all settings from old computer.
I copied it to flash card and open it from it.

Yeah, I know... Its old as fuck... I bought it YEARS ago, and it still does all I need it to do... I used it on Win 95, 98, ME, XP Home, XP Pro and now Vista Home Edition...

Dont even need to install it... Just click the exe, and off we go !

Go figure...

Windows comes with an ftp client. It's called ftp. It's not very good since it's a prompt style client based off the unix equivalent but it's free and works.

WinSCP FTW! integrated with putty to quickly pull up shell ;) supports FTP, SFTP and about everything you could ask for.

When I'm transferring data between servers though I like konqueror. drag from 1 server and drop it into another and the data doesn't come through my box.

What Magical world are you in where Konq doesn't crash on tasks like this? Tell me - does KMail ever work for more than 5 minutes without shitting if you use IMAP by now? Whose the president? Is it retro to wear cheap clothes again? I wanna be trendy.

Thanks from the past,
Grouchy Admin
