I bet you could get a Russian attack sub pretty cheap these days. I wonder how that thing would take a couple torpedos or a Harpoon.

Cheers,
Backov

I saw that on a TV report a few months back, One of the couples onboard said that if they spent more than half the year on the ship they wern't liable to pay taxes in any country.

That's great, except for the probably high monthly condo fees. And how do they get fresh water? How do they get rid of waste? Oh, and don't forget about possible disasters, or other dangers/threats... mind you it's only $2.25 million down the drain if not... though I suppose you could probably get an extremely expensive insurance on the place..

Cheers,
Matt

If you've just dropped 2mil on an apartment I'm sure a few k each week in fees isnt going to kill.

matt have you ever been on a boat ?
35ft yachts sail around the world singlehanded and deal with all these problems, I'm sure an ocean liner can handle it as well

I saw it docked here in NY last month. I was driving by the usual ships and saw that huge thing and said WTF!!! Great idea!

Unfortunately I can see good net access being a problem.

I saw that too on Discovery or Travel channel. To answer your questions they have big evaptorator/condensor things to make fresh water. For the waste they filter the waste water and dump it at sea then incinerate the waste and store the ashes in barrels till they get to port. They only go where good weather is forecast.

I didn't know that. I haven't been on a cruise since before the age of broadband. I usually avoid them but this is a little different.

What kind of access do the have now Sleazy? Sattellite?
