Royalty Free Music ?? DVD producers - little help please - GoFuckYourself.com

I'm looking for some royalty free music. I've found shit loads of royalty free music that costs $xx per album or song but nothing that is *free*.

Is there anything out there like this?

Looking for punk/rock/grunge type music. It's for mainstream videos not porn.

Any help here much appreciated.

I don't know of anywhere that you can get royalty-free music for free. Royalty-free means that you do not have to pay each time you use the music in your commercial projects. You pay a one time fee. We sell our music for $100 for a 10 song CD. You get the royalty-free license and can use the music as much as you want for anything except resale. Check out Volume B and H for rock/grunge type. looks like they changed their way .. I got there a bunch of license free music 2 - 3 years ago ...

i get mine from music 2 hues.com. it's usually $35.00 a cd and they cover just about all kinds of music. they also have package deals. each cd has a number of songs on it, usually 10 or more. it's a 1 time charge and you can us it as often as you want.

You will be able to find some limited short pieces online for free, which may or may not be allowed to be used in a commercial movie release if you read the fine print carefully. But if you pay a few bucks at one of the afore mentioned sources, you can get licensed longer songs that will probably be much easier to use in a long form movie.

I was hoping there were up & coming bands that offered out a song or two for free for credits on the movie. But it's looking like it will be a far better idea to simply buy a few albums and build up a library of sorts.
