Who Is Going to Win The World Series and Why you think so?
Not only the sentimental favorites for me cause I have been an Angel fan since I knew how to be a baseball fan. But right now the Angels are hotter than hot. They are poised and feel no matter how many runs they are down and no matter what inning it is that they can win. Their pitching staff is putting up good performances and they know that all they have to do is do that because the offense is clicking. And a lead after inning 6. The bullpen is pretty much pitching their hearts out.
With all that said The Giants have shown great heart and they have a couple of excellent starters and a very potent offense themselves. But scoring the minimal amount of runs they scored and beat the Cardinals with, will not do it against the Angels. So pitching and picking it up a bit with the offense will be key for them. My pick heart says Angels in 5 But the brain knows that SF is a battling team so I say Angels in 6

I have hated the Giants since the days when Bob Gibson and Juan Marishal (sp?) used to get into some genuine pitiching duels ... sometimes with baqeballs, occasionally with fists. Santiago and Dusty deserve it, though ... fuck the other guy.

I wanna see Bonds pull it out,the greatest player in history needs a ring and I think this year will be his last shot... Angels are fuckin crazy with the bat though, seems like everybody has leadoff batter AVG with homerun hitting power...Giants are the definate under dog

Giants will eventually win this.
Their starting pitchers are getting it done and the Giants hitters are due for some big games. |

People still watch baseball?
![]() Do Toronto Blue Jays have a chance? They are the only team I like. I watched them win the world series like 6-7 years ago. Joe Carter hit a home run or something.

I really want the Angels to win because the Giants thumped the Braves, but I would like to see Barry win a world series so the fucking idiots who claim he's not amongst the greats due to a lackluster post season record can shut their yappers and fix my goddamn cappucino and bid me a good day (sorry, got into a rant there). Both teams are coming off amazing wins and I think it will come down to the starting pitching. The team that can score early will most likely do it. Once Nen steps on the mound for the Giants, it's basically a done game. However, the Anegls are just overpowering Angels in 7 (a series of nailbiters)

I agree that is why they are both going to the World Series even though they are the Wild Card teams. I just see the Angels peaking on both sides of the ball where the Giants are peaking on the pitching side. The biggest question will be can the Giant keep up with the Angels Offense. If they can't their pitching staff better find a way to shut them down.

This is going to be a great series. These teams to me are almost mirror images of each other. Both great bullpens, great closers, sufficient and hot Starting pitching. The difference to me is that the Angels offense is deeper, but the Giants could more than make up for that in one man, Bonds. Because of the depth and home field, I'll say Angels in a great series(7).
