You see Drew, sweetie, I have this schtick that prevents me from promoting, marketing, or endorsing products (through any means) that I'm not necessarily crazy about. Once people have met you, they can "judge" you and see if they trust you. If can BS whatever I want on ICQ. Or you can pretend you're a girl on a msgboard(gfy anyone?) but once you have met someone, reality sets in and you actually "know" that person.

A lot of Amateur parties where sex is involved are usually held in private hotel rooms where you need to be invited to even findout about it.

I too thought it would be girls running around naked doing all kinds of things....but when I went to the show in Florida I couldn't believe all the suites that were there.

Mind you this is on the convention floor, parties are the exception.

My first convention was 5 days after I got into this industry. I've been to 5 now. People are there for the Business. The parties are always 2nd. Actually shaking the hand of someone you do business with goes a long way. If you push affiliate programs sometimes it can get you a higher payout or revshare % just by being friends with the people that run the program. There is no nudity allowed on the convention floor. There is no sex allowed on the convention floor. Although the occasional boob slips out for a picture. These so called skanks and whores make you money. They are just as important to this industry as anyone else. You said yourself you have a bad additude. I think we all agree on that.

I think you missed my point entirely. I wasn't worried about missing out on lost income because of going to a convention. My point was that most of the info you need to make money in this biz are in chat boards and in wm resource sites [and in your server logs]. While I see the recreational value in conventions, I'd rather communicate via ICQ or YIM and see no advantage lost.

The moment they start telling convention goers "secret formulas" re improving conversion ratios and dramatically increasing traffic, that is when I'll start going. Other than that, I'd rather stay at home and keep learning.

BTW, I also do this full time.

But the key question [and a yes answer to this will get me to go to the next convention post haste] have people actually gotten "inside" info on how to increase conversions or paysite designs/text combos or traffic sources that result in INCREASED INCOME?

I see your point re meeting someone and getting a higher % partnership cut or per sign up boost but this is secondary to the key Question I devote every waking second to--finding new traffic sources and conversion methods to make more money. I mean, an increase in payouts is nice but if I don't have traffic or its a low level traffic these don't help me too much.
