Any diabetics or anyone know diabetics in San Diego?
I know this is a weird one - but my cat, who was diabetic, had to be put to sleep yesterday.
I had just bought a brand new vial of Lantus for him - and rather than throw it out, would prefer to give it to someone who needs it. Since it needs to be refrigerated, anyone in San Diego who can use it, or knows someone who can use it, please let me know. Thanks. |

Just wanted to say I'm sorry that your cat has passed.
I have a diabetic kitty too. Extra loves for him tonight. PK

Would love to go to the beach, but until my 11-week old daughter gets through the colic stage, I don't get to do much of anything these days ;) |

Sorry about your cat! For diabetics, human or animal, a lot of water is very important. Be sure to drink enough water!

Thanks Elli We appreciate it, but since she's not breast-feeding (she had to go back on some medication that can't be passed on to the baby) that's just about the only area where we could rule things out lol. Thanks for Cat as well - he was the best ever, and despite diabetes, kidney disease, pancreatitis, IBD and a bunch of other stuff, he was going to turn 20 in a few months, until he got a brain tumor |

Yep, they can have almost everything humans do - they just don't have health insurance and prescription plans to pay for their treatment

I wish I could, and I've already given some of his stuff to his animal hospital which does an exchange program to help vets in Baja - but they won't take opened medications (for the obvious reasons) - I've just been trying to find someone who would trust that the insulin is "clean" and can use it, since it's pretty expensive.
