Why does everyone constantly think that people will not expect better quality? When I see new video sites (that are free with ads on the site) where the quality is way better than anything we've seen thus far streaming, and think consumers wont expect the same from a site they are paying 30.00 per month for? I think many that are standing on the sidelines saying HD (or neare hd quality) streaming video is currently impossible are going to have a rude awakening soon. Anywho Im off to bed.

This machine is amazing. Did you download the wmv from my earlier post? VP6s is currently not possible on this beast, so we did the best we could for the flash. We work very closely with this company to keep cutting edge. I am told we will be able to use our system with the new codec in the next couple of months.

I don't think so. Here is why. I want to be able to do serous post production color work. Has anyone tried to do this on HDV? I believe that is what most are shooting on. It seriously degrades the footage. With 4k you can do a lot of work to create a look your going for. Then you would bring it down to 1080P. This process, like with images, sharpens the final output. I always want to put out the best work possible and I love new toys too.

You can color grade and even mock motion your footage with that workflow.

Ok, I have to admit the video used in the demo is quite bad and does not reflect well. I remember that day very well. I had two of the most beautiful models. A mostly glass walled shower opening to a nice view of trees and a cloudy overcast day. Looked amazing. We're lit and ready to start and the sun came out. It still hurts watch it. So I will try first thing in the AM I'll try to change that out.

Very cool tool, going over the top on tools isnt for the customer its for the ego imo.Also HD for the most part in adult has been a marketing term. In the mainstream dv mag they spoke about what they are learning from youtube is if the content is good the production is secondary.

I don't know about ego. Maybe for my pleasure, ok. I don't watch SD TV. I also believe that the people that would appreciate that quality have the money. They, like me, have nothing but 50 inch+ HD TVs in their house. I also enjoy keeping up with cutting edge technology and being the first to use it.

On the thread's subject, the feed is True HD. We will work out the kinks and improve the quality. The demo clip will be switched out to show what the quality of the feed is and what your member's can enjoy. Also, VP6s requires 30% less cpu load to play. That alone is amazing.

Ive followed RED since it was first announced, and that has nothing to do with what I said. However if your source sample is huge when you compress it down to a useable web size you will have more clarity and detail even at 720p. People's connection increase monthly in their capacity to download. People want to use that capacity. Hey Im sure most people can and have got off to 320x240 porn we may as well stick with that cause it works right?

Bingo. Its the same as I can get from home to work in a honda civic, but if you have the means you would rather be driving a Porsche. Now lets say you could buy that Porsche for the same price as you could a civic which would you buy?

Look its customer A. he has 30.00 a month he can spend on porn. He has site 1 which has 640x480 SD movies at an OK quality he can choose. Then he sees site 2 which has 480p streaming maybe even 720p streaming plus downloadable 720p videos. Both sites have the niche he likes. Both sites are 27.95. Site 1 is on a standard host for their content. He has to wait 30 seconds to 5 minutes for the video to buffer and start playing. Site 2 has much larger content but they are on a Content Delivery Network that is pushing them their content from the closest server possible using a Flash 3 server that starts his video instantaneously. No waiting and higher quality for the same price. Is this REALLY that hard to understand?

People cry about lower conversions, a saturated market, and YET want to continue to offer the same shit that was offered 4 to 5 years ago and expect the consumer to scream out "Yes sir may I have another!"

This is simple. Move forward and strive to have the best possible product possible. Technology is only going to improve as far as our compression methods and quality of our source video. The "you can see pimples and imperfections crap" isnt going to cut it. Keep telling yourselves that though.

Then upgraded to a vx2000
then upgraded to sony vegas
then upgraded to jtl hot lights
then upgraded to a Att shotgun mic ( 60% percent of the video experience is sound)
Then upgraded to a canon 20 d and L lens
Then upgraded lowel lights
Then upgraded to a dvx100a
Then upgraded to canon 40d
Not to mention classes lots of classes from flying Dean Capture to Atlanta to study with him for a day, to my videography teacher who won a emmy.To intern for over a year shooting bukkakes with Mike South because I wanted to learn how to shoot video from a two time avn winner. To taking classes on everything from color correction to film editing. Im probably one of 3 or 4 on this board that can read a vector scope.
I will upgrade the dvx in the fall to hd, things are coming out that make hdv look like the shit it is. I dont think it will do shit for sales it will just be time. We are not national geographic we are porn and Ive seen tons of shit shot in hd but very very little of it is hot.
