Laughing at IBill.... THANK YOU PAYPAL!

Just a short opinion based on my experience. iBill has terrible customer support, and some poorly trained staff. On the other hand PayPal is a poster child for customer support, Thanks you PayPal.

This is from Pay Pal,

"Congratulations! You have been approved to receive PayPal's
Merchant Rates. Effective immediately, you will be charged
2.2% + $0.30 per transaction to receive payments.

To keep your Merchant Rate, please keep your PayPal account
in good standing and your payment level above $1,000 per month.

Thank you for using PayPal!"

Well, I don't think processing adult members ships throught PayPal is the best idea, but maybe offer it as a optional form of payment.

PayPal just has a very well trained and friendly support staff, I can't say the same about IBill. Maybe somebody from IBill will see this post and actually try to improve their quality of support.

I had installed their sign-up script on my site.
I mailed them 3+ times because I had a technical problem with the script and NEVER received an answer.
So I finally removed the script.
I think their customer support is significantly inferior to iBill's (which isn't easy ;-)

From their site:

PayPal Customer Service Agents are available to help you 7 days a week, from 6 am to midnight CST.

Call us toll-free at: 1.888.221.1161

Please have the following information available when you call:
Your telephone number
Your email address
The last 4 digits of your credit card or bank account registered with PayPal
For security purposes, we will need to verify this information before we can discuss your account with you.

I have used them for well over a year. I have emailed them and gotten a prompt, polite, helpful response every time. I have called them many times and they are always helpful and friendly on the phone as well. I have never had a single problem with them and I have sent a considerable amount of money through my paypal account.

All it takes is once person to make a complaint about you and your funds are locked up forever.

Dam even ARS had a major problem with those people.

I use PayPay frequently and a lot. i never leave more a lot of money in the account... thats what my bank is for.

1 800 works great for me from PayPal.... I was on hold today for 15 mins before I had a rep. on the phone unlike iBill.... first call to iBill I watied 40 mins... then the rep hung up on me after I asked to speak to a supervisor... then... next call it took 35 mins on hold with them....

PayPal... rocks.... never messed up... always works.... prompt and friendly.

That's not true at all. I have had a couple of problems with people before and have never had my funds "locked up". If you are a reputable person/company with nothing to hide, they don't jerk with you. If you are doing something that looks suspicious then they might restrict your account (and rightfully so in my opinion).

Well, I'd think that you wouldn't leave too much funds in your paypal account. Transfer them to your bank...

I have been using PayPal since May, and try to push all my dvd sales through it (Ibill is my backup) as even their standard rate is under 3%, daily payout and no reserve. Who can argue with that?

My experience as well....we to have had a few problems, but they were solved right away
Now that we have done business with them for more then 1 year we never have any problems at all!!

But yes they have gotten better since EBay took over.

paypal is great if you do under $10k per month and don't use their password management script
that way, if your account is in good standing, no complaints or chargeback, you do not attract attention from them and you'll be able to have low processing fees.

The only bad thing is that since iBill for some reason won?t accept my CC I can?t sign up to this job board I found? not like I?d want to try another CC? so they can mess it up as well.

Does anybody have an ICQ number for somebody at iBill? Mine is 1075987?
