Agreed. We have it good here compared to Europe. Most don't seem to understand that. I think in the US they think cheap oil is their birth right.

Been to Montreal 4 times, never took the transit always walked everywhere. Of course I was only downtown really. It is good there?

The problem is that we are more spread out than europe, so it costs more to get to some places...the rise in fuel costs makes groceries and everything else go up as well..so it's not just bitching about rising gas prices...look how high they've risen and how fast...have you priced bread, milk and such lately? It's gone waaay up, all because it costs more to ship it to stores now...

I understand that. But everyone else just looks at what the pump says and assumes it stops there. I guess since I don't have a family to buy food for I don't really get hit that hard with the prices at the grocery store.

I think so too. My only concern is that with my luck I'd buy one and then they'd come out with a much better version the next year. Too bad more companies don't have diesel options.

In Del Mar, San Diego it passed $4.11 last week and is expected to hit $6.00 by June.
Even though its almost $10.00 per gallon in the UK you should all remember they get paid way more than Americans for similar jobs.
