from march 2008 some porn will be illigall in the uk

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/7364475.stm

A bill outlawing the possession of "extreme pornography" is set to become law next week. But many fear it has been rushed through and will criminalise innocent people with a harmless taste for unconventional sex.

"WHAT IS EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY?
-As defined by the new Criminal Justice Bill
-An act which threatens or appears to threaten a person's life
-An act which results in or appears to result in serious injury to a person's anus, breasts or genitals
-An act which involves or appears to involve sexual interference with a human corpse
-A person performing or appearing to perform an act of intercourse or oral sex with an animal"

Those things are already banned in most of the countries. I'm surprised UK didn't do this sooner.

i think the big thing will be bondage where people are tied up and so farth.

Also such as spanking sites, where people get a red bottom.

This is what is scary "Under the new rules, criminal responsibility shifts from the producer - who is responsible under the OPA - to the consumer. " and "People like *****, who by day works in an office in the Midlands, and enjoys being sexually submissive and occasionally watching pornography, portrayed by actors, which could be banned under the new legislation.

This is awsome... "To those who fear the legislation might criminalise people who use violent pornography as a harmless sex aid, she responds with a blunt "hard luck".

"Pornographic material which depicts necrophilia, bestiality or violence that is life threatening or likely to result in serious injury to the anus, breasts or genitals has no place in a modern society and should not be tolerated," says a spokeswoman for the ministry.
Graham Coutts, who killed Jane Longhurst after viewing extreme pornography

So does this mean anal sex too?

LMAO everytime I have anal sex the girl just ends up bitching about how much it hurt.... so that'll be a hard one... I guess you just have to stuff her face down into the pillow so nobody can see how much it hurts them?

Why, you run sites that have people having sex with dead people, animals, sex with children, sex that gives serious injury or could lead to death then?

No, unless its anal sex with animals, dead people, or anal sex that has resulted ot likely to result in serious injury or death.

So if you make an action or horror movie where people are killed and tortured throughout the film not only is it ok, but you can get your film in the local cinema, but if someone's life appears to be threatened somehow in a pornographic photo or video then it breaks the law?

It has always been illegal. Nothing has changed. Nothing. The same porn that was illegal last year remains illegal this year. What was OK last year remains OK this year. Zero has changed. apart from this.

Before it was illegal for the producer to make and to sell. Now its illegal for someone to even own it.

If you dont have a stash of porn with women getting seriously beaten, hurt raped, or killed. If you dont have videos of people having sex with dead people. If you dont have videos of people fucking animals, you are OK.

If you do, good luck in prison with all the sex cases

I dont know if you have read the full article but it does not define "violent"
Anal sex, spanking and bondage could all be put into this catagory and from what this says "or likely to result in serious injury to the anus, breasts or genitals has no place in a modern society and should not be tolerated," says a spokeswoman for the ministry." the law could and would define "violent" as it sees fit and could prosecute a surfer for watching anal sex if they wanted to.

For fuck sake. You live in England and work in porn, but have never heard of the Obscene Publications Act? This is law now, its been the law since 1959. You don't know about the very law that controls the industry in the country you live?

Nothing has changed in the Obscene Publications Ac. The same porn that was illegal last year will remain illegal next year.

The only difference is. that its now not only producers who have always had to work within the Obscene Publications Act, but also the consumer.

I cant believe how many people from the UK are so clueless about the very law that we all have to work under and have done since the 50's

Quote:
Until now pornographers, rather than consumers, have needed to operate within the confines of the 1959 Obscene Publications Act (OPA). While this law will remain, the new act is designed to reflect the realities of the internet age, when pornographic images may be hosted on websites outside the UK.

Under the new rules, criminal responsibility shifts from the producer - who is responsible under the OPA - to the consumer.

Dude I know the Obscene Publications Act exsits in the UK and this is new legislation not the same old Obscene Publications Act, it has been "updated" acted bondage was never "illegal" over here and now the users could be prosecuted for accessing this type of porn so please dont say nothing has changed because it has.

Here's the problem.

Quote:
Speaking from her home in Berkshire, Mrs Longhurst acknowledges that libertarians see her as "a horrible killjoy". "I'm not. I do not approve of this stuff but there is room for all sorts of different people. But anything which is going to cause damage to other people needs to be stopped."
Where do you stop?

Smoking, drinking, over eating, fast foods, driving, religion, and a whole lot more kill more people day in and day out. Does she want all those things banned because " cause damage to other people" or just porn?

How long before a main stream movie falls foul of this, or even a computer game.

But welcome to my life Allan, I produced porn out of the UK for decades under this kind of threat. Made a lot of money. LOL

As for porn being responsible for the rise of sexual violence. Poppycock.

John Reginald Christie did not have any porn on his hard drive. I think violence against woman and sexual crimes have actually fallen in the UK over the last 10 years. While violent crime non sex related has risen.

The bottom line is they have to get it past a jury. The Crown Prosecution Service, will look at a scene and have to ask themselves if they can get a jury of 12 men and women to convict. In the 70s and 80s porn trials fell apart because the jury did not get perverted watching a porn movie. This will be in the same situation.

So if it's just a bit of submission, bondage, spanking, etc it's fine. When it gets to people being seriously harmed the viewer like the producer is now in trouble. The final decision rests with the 12 men good and true. Plus the UK press, the papers will have a field day if the CPS get it wrong.

if anybody honestly thinks there is going to be a conviction from getting spanked and bondage then they are smoking crack. the judge will simply throw it out and the police know it.

they will go after the serious content, ones they know they can get a conviction from.

p.s. its not march 2008 , its may.

Remember that case where two gay men were on tape having sex and the law reasoned that there must have been a third person there to tape it and took them to court? Didn't that end up getting over turned by the human rights court? The court will be full of cases like that if it starts throwing charges at every amateur bondage or spanking tape.
