Filled up from nearly empty the other day and it took around $55.

Had a nice 7 cents off per litre coupon with me though, so I knocked about five off of that. :D

Since much of my mileage is business usage and deductible, I track it closely.

I have a 10 gallon tank, and so it's costing me close to $40 a tank now.

Even more disturbing, is that when I go to fill up with one or two clicks left on the meter, I am being charged for 10-1/2 or more gallons, meaning that the stations are ripping me off for more than the stated price, by fixing their meters to show they are pumping more gas than they really are.

Some greedy mofos from top to bottom that Dubya works for...

I really don't know. I wasn't empty and I put about $40 in a couple of days ago. I don't even know what the cost per gallon is right now.

Does it make me a bad person if I don't keep up with gas prices or mileage? I just honestly don't give a shit. Sure, I'd like it to be ten cents a gallon, but even if it's $10 a gallon, I'm still going to pay it. And I don't care how far my car will drive on a tank of it. I just put it in and drive until I need more. No matter how much it costs.

I'm not very green.

I also drive an SUV and I work 1 hour from my job so I fill up twice a week at $75 a pop. So $150 a week x 4 = $600 a month just to drive to work and back. I'm seriously looking to trade in for a hybrid or maybe even a bicycle. My legs would be massive after a couple months but I'd have to leave my house at 3am to get to work on time.

Hybrids used to look ugly as fuck but now they're making them look like normal cars (a novel idea they should have started with in the first place) so they've caught my attention. The original hybrids were uglier than Mick Jagger giving Keith Richards head while he shat on his face.

Gas tank holds 12.8 gallons x avg 3.69 per gallon in my city would amount to $43.23 to fill up from dry empty.

So at my rate of driving 2 miles a week, ask me next year lol.
