No loss in terms of career output as it mainly consists of b-movie rubbish but maybe he could turn his prison time into a film script too!

guess it all depends on the charges, either way that wasn't what i was referring to i was referring to parole, and you were correct, but again the point of the argument was he saved millions by doing a few years in jail not the amount he gets off for good behaviour.

36 million for 3 years still ain't that bad

It's illegal to not FILE. Once you file and you choose not to pay them... you won't go to jail. Yes, they will make your life a living hell, but no jail time. However if you don't file or try to defraud them, you're fucked.

Still trying to figure out, does he still have to pay the taxes?

I think he does. Jail is not his payment. He still has to pay.

Try again. He has not saved shit...he will still have to pay 41 million (the reported amount he owes the IRS) in taxes on top of the 5 million dollar fine. Prison time does not absolve the IRS debt.

Let's not parse words here....I'm not a lawyer.

I'm just saying that there is a very loud group of people out there who claim that income taxes are unconstitutional because the amendment wasn't ratified properly and yada yada yada....and they say you don't have to file or pay and you won't go to jail.

Snipes is the 2nd person I've heard of in the past 6 months to a year that is in fact going to jail after trying to make that argument in court.

So like I was saying, I wonder what rock the people from that group are hiding under today?
