I really don't think you understand SU..

Of course I want recommend sites and share them with my friends. That's what SU is designed to do. You share things, with people and socialize. If a friend is spamming you, you simply remove him, this is simple logic.

Nothing I have asked for or stated is abusing the system - but rather using the system exactly how it should be used.

The thing is, when you add a site, it's not just your friends who see it. It's added to the database, usually tagged appropriately and people with relevant interests selected see the link that was added regardless of them being a friend or not. By adding shit and having your friends give it a thumbs up in exchange for doing it for them, you are abusing system. Fortunately the report spam feature works exceptionally well. :thumbsup

Great... 3 years of use and you didn't learn to read.

I never said send things to friends so they could thumb it up, you assumed that on your own.

And why would I ask them to thumbs it up? When everything I discover is already shown to them. It's part of being a Friend in SU - but for being on for 3 years I kinda thought you would know that.

You're either being coy, stupid or you're clueless. I'm not sure which.

Well call my card and lets figure it out... No reason to try and twist this up.

You jumped on my wagon thinking I was talking about spam - when I haven't suggested anything about spamming it and actually stated why spam is kinda pointless on it.

At that, my new profile shows nothing about spam but only adding great content that clearly other SU members that are not my friends have liked. And mixed in that is articles from Xbiz and the Epoch video - which SU was the #1 referral for.

But thanks for telling me I'm spamming when I'm only offering help.

Add me as a friend, send me an email in the system, trade some links.. whatever! As a large group working together we can use the system to benefit each of us. So hit me up and let's get started.

I can't imagine why someone might think you are interested in spamming or abusing the system.

Exactly.. Why? Nothing I said "EVER" suggested spamming it. But working together, as a group of "friends" in a fucking social network that is designed around your friends and rated content.

Good lord dude, have a drink or take a pill.

TheDoc 04-24-2008 11:55 PM

Posts like this start off great and turn pathetic so fast..

I'm off to bed

Anyone can hit me up if they like. I don't spam shit. So if anyone would like to use a social network in a social way, just hit me up.

ok, fine, here we are, for all you newbie bloggers and guys that have slow traffic

I restarted a blog last night that I hadn't posted to in ages, and submitted the first 3 new posts to stumbleupon

it gave me 489 incoming hits to my blog in less than 24 hours...but I can tell you this

the majority hit the one page I stumbled
40 of them hit 2 pages
4 hit 3 pages
1 hit 6 pages
1 hit 24 pages :) haha

so, the traffic isn't very productive at all, only 1-2 clicked the adsense

Because I already suggest (liked) some links to there and didn't received a single visitor from there yet...
We need to have a minimum of Likes in order for links appears to others users!?
I have 255 Likes in my account...

I appreciate your feedback :)

Stumbleupon used to be really good but they changed something about 6 months back and now whatever i do, i just cannot get more than a couple of views to a stumble.

baddog 05-03-2012 09:09 AM

Is it possible that someone else could have set up an account for me or is I am correct in concluding it is just spam I get that suggest someone found me on SU?

I do not recall ever even visiting the site.
