was listening to the game on CJAD while working...
...had the window open as it's nice and warm out - and I coulda sworn I heard the screams from the bell center at the office on decarie! Go habs!  Kinda wish celebrating didn't have to entail blowing shit up though =/ whos gonna pay for those cop cars? our tax dollars! And it'd sure ruin the victory celebrations if my car got blown up. ahh well... |

I was really surprised at these events.
One thing I noticed since I came here was no matter what event and how many people gathered in downtown Montreal it was always relaxed and fun without any trouble .

That's a lot of fucking people...
I am disappointed about the vandalism, although we are fans we should be more mature. Watching news on TV now and you can clearly see a cop car on fire. I was their in 93 when they won Stanley Cup and again fucking punks ruined a great moment buy breaking shit up and setting cars on fire. Worst is if anyone gets hurt by the police everyone is going to cry wolf. I hope they ad more police force if this shit continues. What a fucking shame... |

typical south shore school...
kids in grade 3 and 4 were allowed to smoke with their parents permission, and there was quite a few. Kids are growing up wild, and that riot would be proof of it I guess. It applies to everyone, but it just seems quebec does it with more enthusiasm lol In any event, no wonder our kids will be working for the chinese and indians one day... they want it more than us and are willing to work for it. Canadians are just lazy...

Ah, I used to live right there (and I mean RIGHT THERE) - I was upstairs from Le Chateau, directly across form that Ogilvys...it rocked and would have been a nice spot to sit outside on the ledge drinking and watching the people down below

I was at the game and it was such a good crowd and good vibe, when the fans left the Bell Center and ran into all the fans leaving the bars there was fun and cheering for the first hour or two then people got stupid.
It really looks bad on the city when a few people get drunk and act like complete idiots. It's a good time to be a private security firm in Montreal !

The morons were NOT fans, only bastards who'd have done it anyway for any reason...
There was A LOT of real fans earlier in front of Bell Center on René-Lévesque Blvd and it was festive but with no damages whatsoever... Makes me sad to see such stupidity  I'm pretty sure that these fuckers can't afford a NHL Playoff Ticket anyway... |

Seriously I was at the Bell Center, and i agree with Micheal P, only festive people. But on my way home, I noticed a lot of people on their way downtown, with sticks and fireworks..... I thought to myself that the festivities are gonna turn bad for sure....
It makes me sad....we look like a bunch of idiots! How to ruin a nice victory....  At least i got myself a new free pair of shoes! (joking)

That's nothing compared to what those idiots in Europe do for Soccer.
A riot like that happens once every 20 years here... Not every day there's a game.. I am really glad to see the police get p0wned as hard as they did. Destroying cop cars like that is unheard of. Also what you have in Montreal is a couple MAJOR universities.. a lot of young upper class kids... most of them idiots..
