He was at a conference of spinal cord specialists and discovered that only in America is it routine for spinal specialists to have to deal with gunshot related spinal cord injuries.

One of the guy's that was doing handgun training classes (required in my state to get licenced) made it very clear, if you shoot go for the kill *period*, if the scumbag lives theres a good chance he can sue you. Police and lawyers will tell you the same thing.

I think you're right - there are more poor people commiting violent crimes than the rich. Poor people are also convicted of these crimes in greater proportions because they dont have access to good representation

thats a very ugly thing about our legal system... among the other flaws. i remember my friend got charged with felony assault and the public defender arranged for him to plea guilty and go to jail before even interviewing my friend. so, i gave him 5000.00, he hired an attorney and when it was all over, the other guy ended up going to jail.

Fortunately I live in Pennsylvania which has one of those "right to carry laws". I carry a pistol about 90% of the time when I go out.

Sure, thousands of idiots are maimed or killed when they shoot themselves in the face or whatever. But there is a ZERO percent chance of that happening to someone who is trained and not an idiot, and my wife and kids know gun safety too.

Sadly today, as in all times, the world is violent. As soon as that violence ends I'll be turning in my guns for good. Let me know when that happens.

Banning all guns is the stupidest idea I've ever heard. How often are crimes commited with legal weapons? The criminal will continue to have illegal weapons, and they will be free to attack all the defenseless innocent law-abiding citizen. Think, people.
