Ingesting and inhaling are two totally different buzzes. I can roll bong rips all day and still be functional but if I eat a pot brownie then my ass is floored for the next 5 hours. I wouldn't suggest doing the tea thing. Just smoke it.

I took one of those THC pills they prescribe in Cali, the big horse pill looking fucker. That was worst than having a bad trip on blotter. I would take 3 bad trips on blotter over one dose of medical marijuana pills.

Once again, smoke the shit and be happy. When you ingest it you're in for a really shitty night (or day).

As far as a recipe for pot tea goes...um...it's tea, bro. Just drop a a couple nugs into some boiling water and viola'...you've got tea. Not really a trade secret.

Here's the story:

Years ago, my buddy who was an active cultivating/dealing guru (incidently one of the originators of L.A.'s medical pot stores) got into an argument with another friend of ours whether it was possible to get high from pot tea. They both smoked so much they decided they needed someone who didn't smoke to try the tea to see if it would get you high. So they took an ounce of a kush strain he developed and made the tea. I drank it from a red solo cup. Got high as fuck. About an hour and a half into it, I started geting sick to my stomach. I proceeded to puke about 8 - 10 different times, then passed out on the bathroom floor. I woke up about 8 hours later with a splitting headache.

On a side note, If you have ever seen the movie Alpha Dog, the guy I am talking about was the technical advisor for all the pot scenes, and those are his pot plants in the trimming scene.

I don't do weed anymore, but I found ingesting it (usually hash as I lived in the UK at the time) was a gentler but longer lasting buzz.

bout two years ago i had a friend who knew this guy growing it, like ten five foot plants. so he'd give him about 2 pounds of leaves/stems after a pull for free. which my friend then used to brew tea occasionally. it smelled pretty good, and my friends who drank it liked it alot. i don't think it got em really fuckin stoned or anything though.

Ok I am laughing my ass off at some of this.

Remember kids THC is not water soluble, so to brew effective tea you either need alcohol (ew ack) or something high in fat, so lets use at least milk. Personally I would go with whole milk at very least, half n half if you can spare the extra fifty cents, or for the full effect heavy cream. Just do not bring to a boil, slowly bring to a simmer and let it stay that way for a bit. On other hand you can bring to simmer, turn off let it cool, return to simmer, strain and drink.

You can try to doctor it up some with some vanilla, orange extract, lemon extract, or even mint extract. Personally I find the taste of pot to be nasty as ear wax.

Oh and ideally since you want to extract as much oil as possible, I would really suggest that you really grind it up. I am talking spice grinder and if you have your own bags a fine powder, otherwise just large enough to get caught in cheese cloth or a wire mesh strainer.

PS. to the person that mentioned the horse pills. Typically you get empty gelatin capsules. After you sort your buds in and over a large bowl (copper shows best, but anything would really work.) you will notice a great deal of THC crystals and resin sacks have fallen down to bottom of it. You scrape the bowl with cut plasticard and then funnel into the gel tabs. If you are not doing that kind of volume in that particular club or they are cheap. They very well could just be grinding up buds, or worse yet buds and cuttings.

It was my first time with some GOOD edibles. I'm still amazed by it.
