Do you take your extra money and...

1. Start more website project(s) you have been meaning to get around to.
2. Invest in rental property (mainly multi-unit)
3. Insert your Suggestion (other than giving it to you, or wiping with it).

Fire away.

That's what I have been doing for the past two years. However, you run into the "tangibles" issue when you are going to buy a new truck, jetski, house, etc.

That is what I am looking to eliminate. Not all, but a number of financial people will give you the lifted eyebrow at...

1. Self employed.
2. Internet business.

Just build up a good credit score, the fuckers will give you anything then.

blazin 04-16-2008 10:46 AM

Rethink investing in stocks.... then choose one of the solars... JASO, TSL, STP, or LDK

I have a few friends playing the stocks, and some are losing their ass. My old roommate plays penny stocks. Whatever they are. He loses his ass in that.

Then I have a few others playing with REAL stocks, and they seem to be batting around 60% on those they pick that make money, and others where they lose their ass.

if you haven't already setup either an S-Corp or an LLC. hide the self employed behind an actual corporation. NEVER tell them you're self employed. I'm nearby this poster so if he'd want a local number for somebody to use as a "boss" I can sound pretty serious most of the time.

In my case the second I got even close to a 700 score there really weren't any issues anymore. Once they gave me a card with over $10k available and no interest for a year they figured out how to get me LOL

If your concern is for a jet ski aren't those well under $10k anyway? Simply don't bother financing that kind of shit... buy used too!

Also if you're looking at starting some new sites hit me up... I'm a programmer and also looking for somebody to inject some cash and help with some work on 1 of my projects. I'm like under 20 minute drive from where you live ;)

If you had taken my suggestion and bought $20k POT when the market opened on 4/15...

$183.58 a share on 4/15 = 108 shares rounded down to counter the 4.95 broker fee

$198.26 a share by close of market on 4/16 = $21,412, an extra $1412 in 2 days.. not too shabby

I just might do that mate once things settle down here. Just got done with taxes and dropping $7k over my quarterlies :disgust. Now getting some advice from mortgage broker and bank on which way to go with the property.

Yeah, new Sea Doo runs about $8k. So will look for one a year or two old. Getting financed for that kinda shit is not a big issue. Just under 700, but once I get the credit card(s) below 50%, should be golden like the shower.

Already an LLC. However, I do not tell them "self employed". I list my business, and say I am the president, or some other officer. Means the same thing, but doesn't seem to ring the same bell. Very odd. The use of language.

It's been awhile since I have been to P2. Used to hang out there, and L back in the day. Easy pickens on the ladies.

I think they scheduled one two summers ago in Jackson, and then the organizer canceled, and no one rescheduled.

How can you pass up on a "sure thing" in the stock market?

Oh, I guess the trick is to KNOW the sure thing!!!

Ya I remember that. I think Marc De had something to do with it but he's done with adult now isn't he?

I bought a house 2 years ago for $30,000. I don't live there, I rent it, but still. It's not in the slums either. Small town USA :)

farkedup 04-17-2008 10:23 AM

head out to kansas and iowa and you'll find a bunch of $20k or less houses ;) I've thought about moving out there just because of reduced cost of living but in the middle of nowhere.

It's not that hard to believe. We have 800-1100 sq ft, 2-3 bedroom, small bread boxes HERE You can scoop up for $40-50k.

I live in a nicer city (Portage) than the one just up the road (Kalamazoo). You can buy RENTALS for $50-60k in this college town.

If you go the next town over, to cereal city (Battle Creek) aka Crack. You can find even MORE deals.

We are talking about the decent neighborhoods. I can only imagine what you pick up in the slums.

UPDATE

$183.58 a share on 4/15 = 108 shares rounded down to counter the 4.95 broker fee

4/22 - POT selling for $210 a share roughly x 108 shares = $22,680 so you made $2680 in a week.
:)
