    Yepp, I just contributed another $150 towards my lawyer's Porsche payment..yet another DMCA "letter". I wonder how many more contributions I will make this year.

    If i were to guess, id say another 15-20 times. Lovely biz we are in.

    150$ for him his office assistant to copy and paste a letter in a email or print it and mail it for a good 40 cents..

            Your lawyer is too expensive dude. There's lots of second rate lawyers in M-city that I'm sure they'll be happy to take care of your DMCA letters for about $1,000.

              Why not just send it yourself? Or is it more effective when they see a law firm on the header?

                They keep a legal record of it....makes us feel safer. Most dont bother using a lawyer, could be just as effective. In fact when we have to DMCA a smaller company or an individual we do it ourselves.

                  We actually sent one of those to an individual this morning, content came off 15 minutes later. This is getting completely out of fucking hand these days. Times MUST be rough for a LOT of people. Maybe they should be flipping burgers since they cant afford to pay for their content.
