                                                          Likely won't get top dollar, because many prospective buyers aren't going to bother send email, IM, etc; some may assume the domain is crappy.

                                                          There are times when not publicly listing a domain works out ok, but generally that's relegated to situations in which one is selling a domain associated with an existing business; ie. developed website earning high revenues and wants to keep it on the downlow.

                                                          Again, in this instance, it appears the OP is simply selling a domain - not posting the domain name likely will resule in leaving money on the table.
