Shanghai remarks are correct.
Imported beer in shops $1.50~$2 for 330ml and about $2.50 for 500ml.
Local beers starts at $0.30 for 660ml bottle, "high-end" locally brewed (i.e. Budweisser) about $1 for 660ml bottle.
Most expensive I drunk is Paulaner home-brewed lager >$11 for 500ml

DutchTeenCash 05-27-2008 03:33 AM

we dont do pints so that would be a regular glass or half a litre thats why you get weird results bout Holland - ppl dont get it

$6 for half a litre is normal, Amsterdam prices are a lot higher

the high dollar amount is because of the sucky dollar rate, in euro it's ?1.67

in Czech it's ?0.95

to buy Stella in belgium supermarket yes, if youre in Antwerp, Bruxelles etc youll pay the same we do $6 a pint

SBJ 05-27-2008 03:55 AM

the bar i go to it's about $3 a pint but I get a 25oz mug of beer for $3.50. but if I go to a club in my area then it's $5.75 for a pint

Ross 05-27-2008 04:00 AM

Normally in a pub you'll pay under $5. In a club you can pay up to $7. Lots of clubs do special deals on Vodka and stuff. You can get a Vodka mix for $2 which is cool. You also get shots for $2 as well. Normal night out in the local is getting out of control. You can go to the store pick up a 12 pack for $20 but buying 12 of your drinks in a pub is gonnae cost you $60. Not the worst.

02 was my first year in adult bussines. Beer was for 0.5$ at that time, so still good old times, now its rather like 1.5$ in Prague´s pubs where I usually go...
The buying power of dollar has insanely decreased during last five years here.

edit: 50 beers

in Ukraine normal ukrainian beer costs ~$0.7/0.5l (starts from $0.4) Even Carlsberg and Tuborg cost ~$0.7

but there're also great european brands for $2-3.
i'm not big beer lover, so this means nothing for me.

e.g. Martini Bianco, which i like, costs $15/

Right now I'm sat drinking a bottle of Tuborg, cost £9 for a box of 20 from the local ASDA (walmart). Never even heard of it til I saw it on offer :)

geedub 05-27-2008 06:01 AM

Brussels and Antwerp will be the most expensive, also varies on place, tourist places are more expensive

in Leuven on average for a normal Stella (25cl) ?1.65, for half a liter (a pint) it'll be ?2.70 or something

Sid70 05-27-2008 09:33 AM

0.5L in Ukraine, $0,5 to $5 :)

CherryV 05-27-2008 10:04 AM

I get a regular bottle for a dollar or a "Grande" which is a double sizer for $1.75 at most bars and in the tourist zone about double.
