hey gord, how fucking hard is it to pick up the phone, ring enom and get their whois server IP so I can get my domains transferred, or simply set your system to alow 20 queries per day instead of 1, stop being such an asshole and let me transfer my domains.

That's interesting because for at least a brief period of time, DNS was using Enom.

Unless something has changed, DomainNameServices isn't even a registrar.

Enom is aware and will help you get this transferred. They can get the whois an alternate way. You just need to let them know, use the Help System when you first request a transfer. They will do it manually for you. DNS/Cheapies is not cooperating.

He has no trouble taking your money, but once you need his support he fucks you, probably made a lot of money selling non existing domains when he did his .xxx scam back in the days ...

ok, enom managed to bypass domainnamesystems whois block, however domainnamesysrems owner gord and his 2 man company are still refusing to release the domains. do we really have to go to court overthis ??

I lost a sweet-ass domain because of this asswipe several years ago.

what happened?

I lost a couple but they weren't worth fighting over. They didn't "steal" them, per se, but their incompetence had them listed under their name instead of mine with Enom and no one would answer any of my emails or trouble tickets. I let it go after about a month.

they helped me out recoverring stolen domains in the past but recently I got frustrated with the system and moved.

my advice is just be patient

Think about it twice before doing business with domainnamesystems/cheapies, you'll be running through the same shit when you decide to transfer your domains, stay away, go with an other registrar.

I was just thinking about you this morning as I transfered 5 domains with no problem to another person.

For those of you who haven't had any problems with Gord and Domainnamesystems, you will eventually loose a shit load of sleep over something with this company.
They had me affraid that I was going to loose some domains with all of their BS and tactics. Not customer friendly at all.
I had 350+ domain names with DSN and a while back MONIKER made me a way better deal on pricing so I started transfering some names out as they came due.
DNS made it so difficult to transfer domains it wasn't even funny!!!!
They first limited the amount of domains I could transfer out in a day. Then they hiked my price per domain up to $15.00 per year for all remaining domain names in my account. (Almost double of what I was paying and I still had 250+ names with them at the time)
It was a nightmare.

Very unprofessional indeed. Basically these guys suck!!!!

I have the same problem with this fucker of a company.

I purchased a domain from Sedo.com and the seller had the domain under Domain Name System. To this day this 1 domain is stuck with the assholes.

Any ideas out there on how to get out fo this?

Put in a polite ticket every other day. As soon as you get aggressive, asshole Gord gets his back up and will do everything he can to fuck you over. Just be calm and he'll eventually release the domain. Sucks, but that's how this shithead works.
