2 Girls Allegedly Attack Cab Driver, Die In Crash
Driver Hospitalized In Critical Condition
LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Two teenage girls are dead from a taxi cab crash in eastern Los Angeles after one of them allegedly attacked the driver.

Los Angeles police Officer Sara Faden says the two teenagers asked the driver to take them to a nearby apartment complex in Boyle Heights early Tuesday.

When they arrived, a man approached the cab with a handgun, and the driver sped away with the girls still in the back seat. Faden says one teen began cutting the driver in the neck and face with a blade. He lost control and crashed the cab.

Faden says the driver was ejected from the vehicle and has been hospitalized in critical condition. The teens were declared dead at the scene
