TrafficAdept Tip Of The Week: Make the most out of your traffic purchase!

When you buy traffic from TrafficAdept.com, you want to make sure that you get the best bang for your buck, in terms of how the traffic performs on your site. While we do have a great algo for splitting up traffic in several quality levels, this, unfortunately, still doesn't guarantee that the traffic will perform great on YOUR particular site. So let's do some refining of our purchasing method here and make sure that, even if the traffic you normally buy performs well, it will perform even better!

You need to follow a few simple steps. Assuming that your URL is approved and you have deposited funds into your account, the first thing you need to do is go to Buying Traffic in your menu. Once there, scroll down to the specific traffic category you want to buy. For example, let's say you're launching a new general MGP, want to kick-start it with some feeder and you're looking at buying Class B general niche traffic. Click the order link for that type to place an order for 1K of traffic. Once you click the link, a popup window will appear, leave General selected and in the drop-down menu on the left, click and select Movie Traffic Only. Click OK and you go to the next page, where you select the URL you want the traffic sent to and the the delivery speed you want for it (force). Enter 1 in the box for amount of traffic to purchase and leave the force box set to 0, this will ensure you get the maximum amount of traffic available from that category. Don't worry if you don't need that much at once, this order is only to detect traffic sources and we'll be adjusting it to further refine our purchase.

So, now the order is placed. Let it run for 15-20mins (or a few hours, depending on the type of traffic you're purchasing and how much there's available of it) and then go and login to your trade script. Most trade scripts will show you referrering URL's for traffic coming from sources other than trades, usually listed as notrade. This is the traffic that you're receiving from us. Click on the link which will show you the referring URL's for this type of traffic. Now, go through the domains that are sending you traffic and add them to your trade script as DISABLED trades. Make sure they don't show up in your toplist either, you don't want anyone to click links to URL's you don't actually trade with.

Now that you've added the URL's sending you traffic, leave the force running for bit longer, until you get enough traffic from the tracked URL's to make a qualified decision in terms of their traffic quality. How much is enough? I'd say at the very least 100 hits per referring URL, anything less and the chances of one click-happy surfer skewing your values are quite big. Anyway, once you're able to assess the quality of traffic for the tracked URL's, you need to start refining your order and stop buying from the ones that don't perform to your satisfaction. So you go back to Buying Traffic in the TrafficAdept menu and below your orders you add the not-so-good domains to the ?never send me traffic from these domains? box. Click enter and you're done. Rinse and repeat, until you get enough quality from your purchase! Just remember not to trim away too much of the traffic, if you want to keep receiving decent volume. Also adjust your force down, if you're getting more than you need.

A variation of this method is to browse through the list of reselling domains and see which sites might be a good fit to yours, then order small amounts of traffic from one domain at a time, leave a maximum force on and track the productivity of the traffic. Cancel the order if quality isn't good and move on to the next site.
