I can't say it's ever specifically come up for me, but I know I do attribute certain unpalatable qualities to certain board personalities that don't get me very interested in doing business with them.

I think a person should act on a board as they do in person...But some think the internet is a cloak which gives them a pass to act like an idiot.

I don't base my business on a board rep's behavior...but it does play a big part if the ratios aren't so hot, whereas I might ask a nice/polite/knowledgeable rep for any suggestions that they may have.

I really don't think you can separate the two. If you're an ass on the boards, there is a side of you that is that stinky, sweaty, hairy hole. (wow, didn't need to be that descriptive, but you get the point)

Everything you express is a piece of you. In the end, you are who/what you let surround you. If a guy is a dick on the boards, I don't want him anywhere in my life... even if he is helping me bring in bank. There are always better options!

I would never deny someone business based on personal views they have, if it was something like Soandsoprogram.com will not work with black people then I'd say screw soandsoprogram.com, but if one of their workers said they didn't like black people (and I'm just using that as an example) then I wouldn't really care, even if the owner said he didn't like black people I really wouldn't care.
