Now and then I get reminded I live in a different culture from which I grew up

Especially when things happen like just now when on the radio they were talking about a terrorism case that was in court today where they had planned to blow up planes by mixing explosives to look like fruit drinks. The reporter goes 'they were going to mix the explosives with something called Tang' and then went on to say she had no idea what that was but apparently it was a drink mix.

    Ah, cultural differences..lol

What would age have to do with it? Don't they still sell Tang?

When my dad was in a lockout in the mid 90's, we lived on Tang and bologna for 3 months.

Needless to say I don't like it much anymore.

I am sure age is a thing too but I am 31, hardly a largely advanced age and probably about the same age as the reporter and the listening audience.

Trivia. The inventor of Tang also invented Pop Rocks and Cool Whip.

And we also do not have cool whip over here (the white trash in me loves the low fat version of that stuff). What do you think the British have against that guy?

Pop Rocks they do have but they call it something else.

The tv version of the same report has to show a Tang package to explain.
