Good idea, the site might be just a affiliate marketing ploy...

at the very least, they are using our brands to get people to pay 95.00.

it makes us look bad. it makes the industry look bad. and, it furthers the deterioration of the perspective that surfers have on legitimate adult companies. sites like this devalue every one of us. bait and switch, no matter what it is, its a scam.

i agree, but based on the fact that they are using egold as the only payment option, i have to lean towards thsi being a scam... which of course is just as bad as stealing content.. one more reason for surfers to not trust pay sites...

Jens Van Assterdam 04-02-2008 11:03 AM

Wow.. that blows!!!!!

pocketkangaroo 04-02-2008 11:04 AM

This is the whois for another side on the IP called riversideinvest.com. Probably a fake address but maybe it helps. Looks like the same spam and scam using e-gold.

Yup bunch of ours on there too. Its a scam almost guaranteed the surfer doesnt get access they think they will.

D 04-02-2008 11:11 AM

That's rather jacked up.

If a scam, I can't imagine their chargeback ratios would support maintaining whatever merchant accounts are tied to it for very long.

Which is precisely why they're using e-gold, the federal indictment specialists, lol.

Socks 04-02-2008 11:23 AM

E-gold still hasn't shut them down???

seeric 04-02-2008 11:25 AM

I just called that number and got a voice mail telling me to pretty much "fuck off"
Not those words of course. but was told if i had that phone number and wanted to get in touch with the owner of a domain using Privacyprotect.org i could use the online contact form on the site.

The lady voice on the tape was in English and was a very broken English at that.

As said, is in English, so any of you want to hear it just call and listen. Goes straight to the tape recording

Meeper 04-02-2008 11:41 AM

Ughh, it never ends =/

PornDiscounts-R 04-02-2008 11:44 AM

As someone said, it is all sites from tbp from one end to the other. My site is listed on there also. Fuckers...

And can say when they have ripped tbp for the info on my site. Have been some time in Feb, as the screen cap they have used on http://www.porn-catalogue.com was a very temp one and was only used on tbp for 2-3 weeks in February

martinsc 04-02-2008 11:48 AM

damn........

Roald 04-02-2008 11:51 AM

this is too good of a deal to be true, scammers for sure.

Reading from the faq: http://www.porn-catalogue.com/faq/

Quote:

Q.:
General question - How it works?
A.:
Porn-Catalogue.com - is a unique online service, which has no analogs over the web. As soon as you register at Porn-Catalogue.com, you get an instant unlimited access to almost all Porn Paysites in the Internet!!! Can't believe it? No, this is the reality for our happy members. Just imagine: 12000 Porn Paysites - for a price of ONE, one universal login/password for ALL the websites!
You probably want to know how it works? It is simple: you register at Porn-Catalogue.com, select the appropriate plan and checkout, and right after that you become our registered member and get your universal login/password. Using them you can login to our member-zone, where you will be able to see the detailed account information and a lot of unique information from sites from our catalogue. But more importantly: the login/password you will receive is indeed UNIVERSAL for all the websites from our catalogue. That is, using it you will be able to login to ANY of the 12835 porn paysites in our catalogue. For more information about our services (the types of signup plans, payment methods, bonuses and discounts, other actions) - please read below in our FAQ.
They are saying you get a universal login for all the sites listed not a download area. So if this statement is true, they would have to have some type of bot that signs up to all the sites if that is even possible, or the more likely scenario is that it is a scam.

Read the rest of the FAQ it is huge pile of bullshit pretty funny stuff in there about their partnership with all the major adult industry players making this site possible and that they use egold to "protect the interests of adult paysite owners".

Someone needs to actually join this and see what is going on. My bet is it is a pure scam and you get nothing.

estdomains and privacyprotect.org are a common pairing for cheating TGP webmasters. I actually disallow trade signups from any domains registered with EST.

seeric 04-02-2008 11:58 AM

green dot card time.

seeric 04-02-2008 12:06 PM

so they pegged their limit and people can't join now too?

Seems so.

So, I guess either the whole thing's taking a step in the right direction, or it's all going to shit, and they're just waiting for another allowance installment.

RevSand 04-02-2008 12:24 PM

Fuck... Even my little sites are on there...

MattO 04-02-2008 12:26 PM

When trying to access their stats log the default language is russian.

Porno Dan 04-02-2008 12:27 PM

Ahh, you know... I never really bothered reading about how e-gold actually works until this thread... just figured them to be corrupt processors... and now I get it.

If you have to make a payment via those means, and _only_ those means - having to actually buy and exchange gold online - a total caveat emptor situation - with no chance at a charge-back, that should certainly tell the consumer something's up.

Not that any of that relinquishes the webmasters of that site from being the utter douches that they are in the least.

LeRoy 04-02-2008 12:31 PM

just another way to screw the surfer . Maybe the 95.00 is a password to a big upsale
