Man, that was a crazy ride coming back from Phoenix.

The cross and headwinds were pretty nasty in AZ, but once I hit the Palm Springs are all hell broke loose.

Headwinds were so strong that I had to drop down to 3rd gear and when I would try to upshift, the wind would just catch me and slow me down by 5+ MPH from simply backing off the throttle long enough to pull the clutch in.

Am glad that ride is over.

the wind that slowed you down, probably helped me get in about 45 mins early. The pilot said we had 120 mile an hr tailwind

Yeah, I believe it. The wind was fierce. I actually contemplated pulling over at one point . . . except there was no shelter if I had. So I toughed it out.

My face definitely shows the beating it took today.

I've done that ride many times, sometimes it's like being in a convection oven and facing the afternoon sun for the whole ride sucks ... a night trip for sure.
